Got this for our 2024 Yamaha Drive 2 Quietech cart, which has the factory governor set at 20 mph. Installed the smaller of the two wedges easily by removing two hex bolts on the rear package tray and pulling it straight out. This exposes the rear differential as well as the governor linkage. Just squeeze the linkage arms together and place the wedge on top of the exposed bolt, then release the linkage arms slowly, and it will trap the wedge in between. My speed increased to 25-26 mph, which is exactly what I wanted. Haven't done a long term test yet, but will update this review if it winds up not working well in the long run. ... show more

Took a chance at $12, it came with a longer one and shorter one, I put in both carts and they definitely had a little more pop in the acceleration and top speed but you can tell it does not completely remove the regulator. Overall I think it’s worth it, easy to install and remove, would be nice if it came with a little bigger of one for the cost, maybe have a package of 6 (2 of each size). They are much smaller than the picture. I thought the envelope was empty because of how small they are. You get both and we have only tried the smaller gapped one so far. What a difference!!!!!! Great purchase and now we won’t be the slow golf cart anymore. Can’t wait to try the bigger gapped one!

    • It melts after a few minutes of driving, so is useless.

Hi it was easy to install but after driving it for a few minutes the heat from the engine bay or exhaust melted it. It needs to be made of steel or something that can handle under bonnet temps.

Cart goes faster with the "slow" wedge. Noticeable difference and it's easy to remove. I have not tried the "faster" wedge yet and I am not sure I even need to. The slower one is fast enough for me! Ingenious design.
