These are great binoculars for my kid. We take them hiking and with how compact they are, he is able to carry and use them on his own. The magnification is great for bird watching or looking at far away options when trekking at higher altitudes. The rubber design helps with protecting the binoculars and I've found them to be very durable, despite multiple drops. They fit easily into a backpack and we've gotten a lot of use out of them. Looking forward to using them even more this coming year.

I got these as a gift for my young niece. They are good quality and easy to use. She's little but they fit her well. At the same time, they would work well for an adult, too. For the money, they are a great deal. She will get a lot of use of out of them, looking at things in her yard or at the park, etc. Love that something like this is affordable enough to give to a child!

I would give these a 5 star rating except that my package did not include a cleaning cloth and strap. Setting that aside I can say that these are functioning binoculars that can be used to teach a child how to use real binoculars. The optics are far from great but you can see objects with a degree of clarity. Having a diopter means that you can teach a child how to set up the binoculars for their individual eyes. Optically, these are as good, or better, than other 8x21 binoculars in the $20 price range. Frankly, these feel much better in your hands than a lot of those. As an adult the focus knob hits the bridge of my nose if I try to pull them as close as I would like. And if you use them with glasses it’s like looking through a straw. But these are for kids. And these are great binoculars if you want to teach a young child how to use a real pair of binoculars. Once a child understands how to make them work I think they could have a lot of fun with these. But once they understand how they work the first time they get their hands on better glass they will want to move up to better gear. Recommended as a tool to teach kids how to use binoculars or even as a very inexpensive binocular to stuff in your pocket or glove box.
