Machine takes up a relatively small footprint in my garage gym. It was an absolute beast to put together; instructions are not very good (actually, they’re crap), fasteners were hard to unpackage (and it was hard to know which fasteners to use where based on just the diagrams they give you to put it together), but once I got it all put together — so far this thing has been great, and the price at just $700 (saw it on eBay new for more than $1,000 — Amazon was running a special) was also just too good to pass on. (I do have a bag full of extra nuts and bolts — not sure why — nothing is missing). Definitely well worth the money — smooth operating, and well constructed — I am 6’4” / 230 lbs. Expect it will last and provide good service for many years of workouts. I would definitely buy it again. Making an add here — it’s a great machine and a great value, but I have found it’s limitation today — can only get 10 x 45 lb plates on the machine, and I’m already at that level of resistance on day 1. We are using the machine as a leg press instead of a squat machine. Very sturdy and strong machine. Easy to put together. Hold a lot of weight. Well worth my money.

Solid piece of equipment. Sturdy even under max load with smooth glide range throughout. I gave it 4 stars because it was a good value and I figured out how to overcome the poor instructions and a major design flaw. The packaging was pretty good but several pieces were deeply scratched. Would’ve been nice if they included a little bottle of touch up paint. One of the hand grips was also torn during shipping. The instructions did not include a key piece of information regarding the slide rails. It came pre-assembled with a bolt in each of the support rails but didn’t mention what purpose they served. I quickly realized on my first use of the leg press that the slide rails bend under weight even though they are solid steel. Needless to say I now have two support rails with the paint gouged off about half way up where the slide rails started to bend under weight. See the picture I attached and make sure to tighten the bolt enough so it supports the slide rails on each side to ensure proper clearance. The big design flaw is the lower stopper prevents a full range of motion. I read this on one review but saw others that said they were my height or shorter and had full range. I’m 5’7” with normal proportions and have been powerlifting and bodybuilding for 45 years and can say without a doubt that the stopper is about 2 inches above where it should be in order to accommodate shorter people who seek a full range of motion. I simply use the calf raise attachment to elevate the bottom of the back cushion (see picture). That’s a hack I can live with for a solid piece of equipment at this price point. Finally I saw several complaints about the weight storage racks having a design flaw due to the triangular support preventing the weight from laying flat. Those reviewers are using bumper plates which are practically useless on a leg press. See my picture with a good old fashioned iron plate working just fine. Bumper plates are too thick for the length of the load bearing bars so you would only be able to load about half of the max weight load before you ran out of bar length. The overall design is very space efficient and takes one of the smallest footprints I’ve found. The under mount weight carriage is a great space saver. The weight racks would be more useful if vertically mounted but again I don’t expect everything to be perfect at this price point. It’s a sturdy functional leg press/hack squat machine that doesn’t require much space and can handle a decent amount of weight. Those are the main features I was looking for even if I have to rig the leg press to gain full range of motion and live with some gouges in the paint. ... show more

This leg press hack squat machine is easily one of my favorite purchases for my home gym! It’s incredibly sturdy and versatile, allowing me to switch smoothly between exercises, and my workouts have been more effective since using it. My legs have noticeably gotten stronger, and the machine's smooth operation is easy on my knees and joints. Assembly took a little time, but the clear instructions made it manageable even without much DIY experience. The machine is a beauty , it wasn’t as hard to put together if you fallow the video+ the instructions , a little confusing but ones you get the hang of it ,is a breeze. I did it all by my self even though an extra pair of hands would have made everything easier. It runs well and it feels very sturdy and stable. Very happy with my purchase is a 5 star for me. Also I was worried about the plates I could put on the back, the machine easily holds 45cm (17.72inch) diameter weight plates . And the seller was quick to respond with my questions . There we no reviews so I was somewhat worried, but I'm glad I purchased it. It arrived in 3 very well packaged boxes in one delivery. It took my husband a few hours to put together by himself. The instructions weren't that great. The nuts and bolts didn't have any labeling which made it a bit difficult to know what went where, but he figured it out. It's really easy to switch from leg press to hack squat. One thing that sucks for me is that because I'm 5'2 the leg press doesn't go low enough to get that nice pressure like I would if using the leg press machine at the gym. I think if I use additional padding on the back rest, then I'll work. Very happy with the purchase. ... show more

Received partial delivery one day then the rest came the next day but I didn't know there were 2 shipment tracking numbers. Overall the assembly is very simple. The operation is ok but I asked what I could use to lubricate the slides and hopefully that will increase the smoothness of the machine. The leg press feature is a little less than desirable as the fold down plate isn't tall enough but overall a good produc for the investment. ... show more
