  • Practical, convenient and durable
I'm impressed with the quality and durability of this folding flat bed. The design is clean and the floor is covered by a durable mat. Although we don't use 600 pounds stuff for it to carry, it does a wonderful job of moving anything else with ease. The cart is well-balanced and although a little noisy on a rough surface, I can't complain about that since this thing does not have shock absorbers nor air filled rubber wheels. This is the most reasonably priced model for what it is worth for. As far as weight goes, it is not that heavy and the handle is easy to fold. I liked this flat bed and would probably get a bigger one of the same make if more projects are in order. I can stand by this folding platform since I do a lot of arts and craft shows in my area. Moving tables and art stuff can be demanding if you have no equipment to haul most of it at one time. A job of moving stuff reduced from 8-10 trips to between 2-3. Very convenient hands down. ... show more

  • 15 minutes, a barbie and a beer
After reading some of the reviews on here, I have to say I was quite worried about ordering this product, and then assembling it. But I have to say it arrived yesterday, it was very well packaged; not damaged as others have described, and set up was a lot easier than I expected. The wheels are packaged separately, the diagram clearly shows where the wheels, nuts and lock washers go, and there were no loose parts in the packaging (unless you count the wheel box.) The nuts and washers for the wheels are pre-installed finger-loose on the bottom of the unit. There were only two small difficulties putting it together. As others have described, the nuts on the stationary wheels (the ones that go on the end AWAY from the handle) are a tight fit. It wasn't very difficult for me because I have small fingers, and tightened them pretty easily; can't imagine a socket set working on these. I also used a tiny crescent wrench (the kind that are only about 1 inch wide by 4 or 5 inches long, aka a "Barbie" wrench) to finish the job, and it fit into the small space very well. The only other part that isn't explained is how to lower the handle once it is locked in the upright position. I think one other reviewer also discussed this problem, and I promptly cursed myself for not remembering how they said to to do it. That said, the solution is simple; step on the small metal cross bar just above the platform and VOILA! I love this thing; travels smoothly and seems quite sturdy. Will perhaps modify this review once it has carried more than ME across the floor. The whole project took me about 15 minutes, one "Barbie" and one beer. I'm happy! ... show more

  • High quality product... just not what I needed.
This is a heavy-duty, well-built, sturdy hand truck and was fairly simple to assemble. It would be a great hand truck to keep around the house or at a business. However, after having it for 8+ months, I've decided that I need something more easily-portable and compact. I'm a musician and bought it for transporting p.a. equipment from my car to the stage. I'm also a 5-foot-2-inch female and this thing is almost too heavy for me to lift into my SUV. Sometimes, I have to get a guy to help me... kinda defeats the purpose of having a hand truck! It's nice that the handle collapses down, but the wheels don't fold in. I was aware of this when I bought it, but after traveling with it a while, I've realized that it's hard to pack a car efficiently when you have to work around the wheels sticking out. The handle is also not very ergonomic. There is a slight bend at the top, but you still have to lean over and push the cart out in front of you so you can take normal walking strides without kicking it. The other issue is that it really bounces around on uneven hard surfaces (like brick or stone sidewalks)... and it's so loud! I think that's because the wheels are so small, there's just not enough surface area to keep the cart stable. As a result, there have been many times where something has bounced right off the cart as I've been rolling it along! It's a quality product and would be a great cart to have on hand in a warehouse or garage... just wasn't the right thing for my purposes. ... show more

  • Great Cart!!
When my old, run down cart finally lost the last wheel, I had to choice but to get a new one. There are a lot of carts out there; most of them VERY expensive. This cart was not only well priced, but easy to assemble. I like that the handle folds down for easy storage when not in use. Which, is not very often since I seem to use this cart a lot. It has swivel wheels on the handle end that makes it easy to round corners, bak up and navigate in tight spots. I would recommend this cart to anyone that needs to move things about. Great for transferring my recycle items to the recycle center. ... show more

  • A mediocre product that still manages to get the job done.
It's cheap and it feels like it. The bed frame feels strong enough and doesn't flex. The bed covering is fairly thin steel and will dent/flex. I'd bet the 660 lb rating is for a 660 lb plate of steel the exact length and width of the bed (so the weight is distributed evenly). But the handle will give out at the base if you try to push too much weight over a bump. Remember to pull while lifting up to clear transitions between flooring types. I'd bet that pulling 660 lbs of weight over smooth concrete would also probably destroy the handle. Those two quibbles are bad enough but I can work around them. The most annoying thing is the amazingly low quality of the wheels. They vibrate and wobble when in motion and make a huge racket. It's worse with lighter loads than heavier. The problem isn't the casters themselves but rather the bearings used in the axles of each of the 4 wheels. There is just so much play. Fortunately, a quick trip to a hardware store for new wheels will fix this problem. So why 3 stars for an obviously inferior product? Well, because I'm a results-oriented kind of guy and the truck works. ... show more

  • The little truck that could
This little truck has served me well. I've used it from 2012 up until this past week in July of 2017. I had to do a little maintenance on it here and there, but I used it regularly for hauling around 500lbs at a time. Recently the bearings on one of the casters gave out and I'm trying to find a replacement caster, and I've discovered that the casters on this truck are not standard size so you're not going to find an easy replacement at Home Depot or the usual hardware supplier. I've contacted the manufacturer and I'll see what they say about replacing the caster. But otherwise, I couldn't have asked for more from a $70 truck like this. ... show more

  • A true lifesaver!
I LOVE this thing! It's going to travel with me for a long time! Pros: Not so heavy that me at 115 pounds can't lift it. Very functional - I use it to tote crates, bags, products, etc into and out of dog shows. It's a life saver at a great price too! Cons: So it's not perfect... I have to stand on it to get the bar unfolded, and of course if I'm not on level ground then it will start to roll away. You might think, "why don't you just stand on the ground then?" but if you're not actually standing on the platform then it will just pop a wheelie and not actually have enough pressure to lock the bar. I'm also a little worried that over time the bar could bend but so far, so good! ... show more

  • Good Product, Fair Price
This is a very sturdy and handy platform hand truck. The wheels are large which is both a benefit and a disadvantage, but the advantage of having large wheels which can be used outside in semi-soft areas such as lawn much outweighs the disadvantage of wheels taking up a lot of storage space when it is folded. I have used it to move around trees planted in LARGE containers, 3-400 lb packages of ceramic tiles, 4-6 80 lb bags of sand and cement, even loaded it with 30 concrete blocks one time and it has held up extremely well. ( I do NOT recommend trying to push the 6 bags of sand over soft lawn though -- live and learn. Even the large wheels sink in then.) ... show more
