We attached this to the actual rim & it seems quite flimsy when pushing the ball back to you. I think it would definitely be more sturdy putting it through the holes in the back of the flat part of rim.

Return is made of durable plastic and finished well in a nice color. Overall looks good however does not work with all hoops. Hooking this behind the rim made the return almost go horizontal touching the rim. When you shoot the ball slowly came out but did not “return”. I had to modify the product slightly as you can see in the first picture with a strong zip tie to make the return sit below the net (2nd photo). Now when shooting the ball does return but it’s not a strong return of the ball as probably the more expensive units. Overall 3 stars not because it did not fit our rim correctly but due to the lack of return strength. We kept the product since it worked for our level of play but more serious training I would pass on this product. ... show more
