  • Excellent quality, great customer support, decent price.
Color: SV06 Plus ACE Blue
Alright, so, I got this printer on a whim (yeah I know, everyone says get a bambu) but it was the only one with metal linear rails. I didn't want to gamble on rubber wheels in a slot, to me that screams "precision isn't guaranteed". So, I pulled the trigger, got it for a decent price ($300) and it was pretty damn good out of the box. Set up was alright, and all the cals were simple enough. I had no idea what Klipper was (slopped up some information on it), installed ORcaSlicer and tried to print something with the small spool of white PLA filament they include, and the quality of the print was IMPRESSIVE. it uses a load cell to determine the bed level, which is excellent. I tried to level the bed once, and I got like, close (probably 0.3-0.5) and called it good because Klipper can compensate for being unlevel (and I'm absolutely lazy) and again, the print quality was stupid good. Like, I wasn't expecting it to be like a resin printer or anything, but printing 32mm sized stuff (like DnD minis) was surprisingly good---I use PETG lately because the bed adherence is crazy. ANYWAY, I printed a couple things, ran out of the filament, changed it, homed the printer and it drove the nozzle into the bed. haaaaard (though it ended up being a nothingburger). So I drive the Z axis up with my hands on the lead screwed, rebooted, and rebooted and I got a strange error about the display, and the printer just stopped responding. It started, and seemingly booted, but in Mainsail I was getting the same error as the one on the printer's small touch screen, and it was in a bootloop. So I sent an email to Sovol support (specifically Amazon support) and I told them that it was within the return window, and honestly I was thinking about sending it back for a replacement (again, because I'm lazy and I didn't want to take the damn thing apart). And without having to push them with evidence and stuff, they offered to replace several things on the printer, and told me that if that didn't work, they'd send me a whole new printer, FREE OF CHARGE, and with a new warranty. straight from china. now naturally, I jumped at this offer, because well, maaaaybe I could get two working printers lol. So long story short, they expedited the parts, and they arrived before the Amazon return window as well (which was cool of them), and turns out they sent me a whole new mobo, print head board, load cell, replacement nozzle (because it destroyed it when it drove into the bed) as well as a free .2mm nozzle. I swapped the mobo, which was easy enough---unplug the cables, a few screws, pop it old one, throw in new one, screw it down, plug cables, bobs your uncle. And presto, it booted right up. I printed my test piece like 30 minutes later after the cals. So, the point I'm driving at is if you're looking for a deeeecent printer with very good support, I'd honestly buy another Sovol without thinking twice if I upgrade in the future. OH ALSO: All the things that plagued the older models (non Ace) are fixed on the Ace version, and also, major upgrades like the accelerometer and the load cell. Get the Ace version if you're gonna pull the trigger on one of these. I honestly wasn't expecting super high quality, but again, I was pleasantly surprised. Well done Sovol! I appreciate you backing your product and also not stonewalling me when I needed help!! ... show more

  • Excellent printer and great support from Sovol
Color: SV06 Plus ACE Blue
I’ve been using the Sovol SV06 Plus ACE for about three months now, and overall it’s been a fantastic printer. The print quality is great right out of the box, setup was easy, and it’s handled everything from PLA to ABS+ without issues. I did run into an “ADC out of range” error at one point, but Sovol’s support team (thanks Danish!) was extremely patient and helpful. We traced the issue to a slicer temperature setting that was just slightly over the printer’s safety limit. Once fixed, the printer’s been running perfectly ever since. For the price and print volume, this machine really delivers. Highly recommend it for anyone who wants reliable performance and responsive customer support. ... show more

Regretfully mine only worked fro about 120 print hours. The Y axis is now failing half way through prints. Support for this product is in China. This causes several issues for resolving the issue like them not being able to actually help resolve the issue beyond telling you to look at the motor and see if it's damaged. i don't know anything about step motors and nothing appears wrong with it from what I can see. There is also a clear language issue with them not understanding what I'm writing or not reading all of the message sent. They also have different support contacts depending on where you buy it (i.e. Amazon vs Direct from their site are different teams). After having the Y stepper motor replaced the issue was resolved. Within 20 print hours the X axis stepper motor has now failed. They are also out of stock on their site so it's literally unfixable. Support has not responded yet. ... show more

  • Can self destruct Can self destruct
Color: SV06 Plus ACE Blue
Assembly is not as easy as advertised, though they do give you all of the needed tools. Picture instructions are just not all that clear. Still fairly easy, just not 15 minutes like I saw in some promo stuff. Major complaint though is the cable running between the print head and the camera module. There is one picture highlighting this cable position in red. It was not clear to me that this is an EXACT position. It's not just saying the cable must be routed in front, it's also saying the cable MUST NOT extend too far to the right, in a picture. So, on mine, in the self test, the cable caught on the top of the frame, and ripped out of the camera module. Not apparent major damage, I caught it in time. I just slipped the cable forward and it survived. My recommendation, bend that damn cable forward so it never can touch that corner. ... show more

  • Wonderful printer, excellent manufacturer assistance. Wonderful printer, excellent manufacturer assistance.
Color: SV06 Plus ACE Blue
This has been an amazing printer for me personally as my old one was only half the size and speed as this one. It has a little bit of a learning curve but it's nothing I couldn't learn pretty quickly. Putting it together was straightforward as tbe instructions were clear and had pictures to assist with the process. The touch screen feels great and pretty decently quick. At first I wasn't a huge fan of the lighter blue design on the printer, but that slowly grew on me especially when I learned that some of the blue circle parts were actually belt tensioners. Connecting it to wifi was simple once I loaded up Orcaslicer and it explained how to link it to the app for remote connection via wifi to the camera. I haven't had an issue with the noise personally as I keep it in it's own room. The biggest part id like to mention here however is the manufacturer. I had an issue where my hot end assembly became and absolute melted mess of plastic and they worked with me swiftly and calmly as it was replaceable under warranty. I definitely recommend this printer as an intermediate level printer capable of making helmets and larger parts. ... show more

  • Was very surprised, this is a great value. It's been running 3 weeks, with no failed prints.
Color: SV06 Plus ACE Blue
This printer is a great value. It's been running 3 weeks non-stop, with no failed prints. PETG, TPU, and of course PLA. Getting ready to try Nylon. Features are great, Orca-Klipper is better than I thought it would be coming from Cura-Marlin. Nice first layer every single time.

  • An Awesome Fast machine! An Awesome Fast machine!
Color: SV06 Plus ACE Blue
Ok I am going to give my HONEST review here…. I have to say that I got my new machine and had to spend several hours trying to get the heat bed calibrated right out of the box. But Sovol email support was extremely helpful and gave clear instructions on how to accomplish this. Did I expect it to work perfect right out of the box? Yes I did…. But being realistic, and seeing how packages are handled by these shipping companies and some of their drivers, I can’t say I’m surprised that I needed to do some calibration. But…. Once I got it where it was acceptable, I have printed a couple projects and am amazed at the speed and quality! The item I printed on this new SV06 Plus ACE took about 4.5 hrs and on my SV07 plus the same piece said it would take 20 hours!!! I have 2 of the SV07 pluses that I just bought a couple months ago and I have to say I wish I would have known about the SV06 Plus ACE at that time because I woulda bought two of those instead! I am seriously thinking of selling the SV07 Plus machines and getting the SV06 Plus ACE as replacements. Not that the SV07 plus is a bad machine, but in my opinion it doesn’t compare. So when all is said and done, am I happy with my purchase even though I had to spend a few hours calibrating it? YES I am! Would I recommend this machine? Damn straight I would! ... show more

  • A bargain for a beast! A bargain for a beast!
Color: SV06 Plus ACE Blue
This is my first personal 3D printer, after having one at work about 15 years ago - and that's downright ancient seeing how much better everything is now, from the accuracy of the machines to the software, and SO MANY filament options. My wife is going to organize an intervention soon, I'm certain, but I'm loving me some SV06 Plus Ace! I've had to learn a ton since buying it about 10 weeks ago, but that's half the fun 😉 Most of what I've printed so far is for organizing all my new 3D printing accessories - but that's quite a lot because I loaded up on accessories (been through like 6 spools? Maybe 8?) And the Sovol isn't breaking a sweat - 300 mm/s print speed on PLA, with surfaces smooth like butter now that I got the settings dialed in. Working on getting PETG dialed in now. This printer is a fantastic deal - large print volume capacity; capable of speeds that the filament manufacturers can't even reach yet; auto bed leveling; Klipper firmware... It's a beast, at half the price of most other printers with these stats. Gotta go; print just finished 🤙 ... show more
