  • Does what one expects it to do
Size: 4' x 15' (60 sf)
I bought this sound insulation to line a wooden case I made for a very noisy computer (really a server) I own. This sound insulation knocks the sound down to a volume where I do not mind being in the same room with the server. I am no sound expert, but the sound proofing did seem to drop the volume around 30 dB (based on a comparison with a pair of ear protection headphones I own that drop sound 30 dB). ... show more

  • Really heavy!
Size: 4' x 15' (60 sf)
Thus vinyl is REALLY HEAVY! We are having our 30+ son help us hang it. We are using the acoustical caulk around the edges and then the roofing nails and then acoustical tape around the edges. Have not gotten it all up yet so I cannot attest to the sound barrier qualities, but if this doesn't keep the sound and vibrations from kids jumping next door, nothing will! ... show more

  • Works great
Used it under my laminate flooring

  • Sound deadening for cars.
Size: 4' x 15' (60 sf)
Very heavy. Used it to insulate my car doors and trunk. I can say, there is at a minimum a 15 decibel difference over noisy roads.

  • Totally Odorless
Size: 4' x 15' (60 sf)
Bought some MLV from another company that smelled terrible. This product is exactly as advertised. Completely odorless and appears to be quality sound proofing material.

  • easy to instal.
Used it between the studs and drywall. Added insulation as well. Sound is way better.

  • Personal Experience: Did not work
I'm having similar issues as some other 1-star reviews. After installation still hear my neighbor as clear as daylight, maybe even more! Does it amplify sound? The last statement may be a half joke but it sure feels that way. Anyway, usually don't like to give bad reviews because people's business depends on good reviews, so please ask the vendor closely about thus product before purchase and investing a lot of money. ... show more

  • Not the same
Size: 4' x 8' (32 sf)
Warning that this is a different product than the identically labeled Soundsulate product from three years ago. The new product is more flexible, which is fine, but it’s because it’s not as dense as before, which makes it less effective at absorbing sound. I did a soundproofing job where I installed some of the previous product and then this new product, and they are different. I had to double-up the layers of the new product, which didn’t work well. Would have returned the new product but I had a deadline to get the job done. ... show more
