    • Well worth the money!
Theres a lot of cheap amps out there that claim to be a lot of watts but a lot of them are false advertisements. Not this soundstream though! It is very well worth the money, dyno tested at around 3,750 watts RMS it is probably the best amp for the price.

    • Fire after 1 month of use
This amplifier seemed like a great deal for what I paid. It actually put out about 1800W RMS at 1ohm. However, the amplifier caught fire in my brand new vehicle causing hundreds of dollars in upholstery cleaning and replacement. I didn't mind saving some money for now and getting undercut on true RMS power but for it to catch on fire is just inconceivable. The amp was properly hooked up using 4ga wire, fused at the battery. It did not blow the fuse, it simply kept pulling power and buzzing loudly as it smoked. Hopefully my woofer is not damaged as a brand new ZVX18 is NOT cheap. If I have to replace the whole setup (I also purchased an AR4.1800 that I will be returning) because of this, I may just step away from car audio for awhile. I can't believe it's 2019 and a brand that used to make the best 18s on the market somehow managed to make a product that is this dangerous and unreliable. Many of my friends were going to follow the same path I took and buy this amp but not now, unless I can somehow get a refund (which I doubt) I cannot recommend Soundstream for anything. Amp was properly tuned with an osciliscope, subwoofer is a ZVX18 wired to 1ohm (this amp claims 1ohm stable, impedance was measured with a multimeter to confirm wiring was correct). ... show more

    • A good amp for sub woofers
It power's the sub woofer like it's supposed to like the remote to control the amount of bass you want to hear, wish it was a cordless mini remote then I would of gave five stars

So far, this amp has done its job flawlessly. It hasn't gotten hot while I've shown off my Sundown Audio SA-12's, even thought it's only assisted by a capacitor. Very happy with this amp, which replaced a brand new Orion Zreet 8000 watt amp that went up in smoke. Scarily, I should add. The bass has been tight, clear, and powerful. Great amp! ... show more

I love this amp, very powerful and can push 2 12s easy. Really good price for how good it is. I see alot of reviews about it overheating easy and melting everything inside,but I haven't had this problem yet.

    • 2.5-3 stars after almost 2yrs update
2020 update: (2.5-3 stars) I had 2 of these amps and blew both. It took almost 2 years but I'm used to my amps lasting 7-10yrs or more and these are ok but they can't last if you really start to push heat. I would say buy a better amp if you want something that will last. This amp doesn't really give you 8000 watts, but its been good so far and I got 2 of them for my cars. I have one hooked to 2 Skar Audio Evl 12 D2 wired parallel and its pushing them. I can say so far I like the amp and I run all OFC Heavy Gauge wires to my amps and this thing isn't getting real hot and its pushing power and not turned up real far. I haven't had a problem in the past with soundsteam so I'll see how the long run goes with this amp. ... show more
