  • I Wish I Could Give It 6 Stars
Color: Black
These headphones. These are the ones that I have been looking for. I work in a fairly-noisy R&D shop and the owner is a guy who likes to try novel things, so he bought us each a pair of the older version of this model for the light amount of noise reduction that they are capable of. And he’s nice sometimes. Those things are fantastic. They do a great job of canceling noise and the sound quality is lacking almost nothing. I like wearing them way better and they are much less distracting than ear buds. They are super light and reasonably comfortable for 10+ hours. I was looking for a pair for myself and found this upgraded model. I am aware of the glitch that sometimes makes a newer model less expensive than the older one because people usually buy the one with the most ratings, and the newer one sits around slowly accumulating enough ratings. I wanted a pair to wear on the weekend since they are inexpensive (and superior to my VERY expensive travel pair) and they keep my ears warm. They were already a fair enough deal, but I took advantage of that bug and got a pair for $8 less, but with USB-C and same day. And boy I’m glad I did. I didn’t even know about the new “transparency” function until I downloaded the app and was looking around. The app is good enough (I guess) and does let you play with the equalizer. I was able to improve the already outstanding sound (make it into a Nike swoosh)quality. But the app does little else. The old version of these headphones (the non-“+”) Isn’t recognized by the app for some reason. Call quality is very good and the Bluetooth range is amazing. These are comfortable right out of the box and don’t squeeze too much (I am 6’4” and 210#) even after wearing 6-8 hours continuously. The battery could last for days but I just charge it every evening. I did make some customizations since I don’t care that they fold up, and I wear them working on the farm. I needed some improved grip, especially looking up without a hat on. I wrapped the swivel with electrician’s tape (photo) which locks them into place. I added grip tape to the top arch so I’m sure I look ridiculous, but it’s my yard. They fit good and snug now, especially over a hat. I super-glued a wayward sequin beside the play/pause button so I can find it through a glove (picture). I bought a second pair (2-hr delivery) before they catch on and the cost goes up. They’re fantastic. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ... show more

  • Great for the price
Color: Black
I had bought a pair of headphones from Tiktok shop that claimed they were noise canceling and were not at all. These are great and good sound quality. If it matters or not I am an audio engineer and wouldn’t use these as studio monitors but for listening on my daily commute and in the gym they are great. They do have some sound leakage and if you heavily care if people can hear what you’re listening to then maybe don’t get these. If you are looking for a great price and more that decent quality with transparency and noise canceling then these are a good buy. ... show more

  • Better than Beats Solo 3, super solid budget headphones with some minor gripes
After hearing so many good things about these headphones and seeing them on sale for around $50, I decided to try these out! I had been using a pair of Beats Solo 3, but the ear pieces were too small and I wanted a pair that would actually go over my ears, as my ears would get irritated from extended use. And overall, I'm satisfied with my purchase and would recommend them, especially over the Beats Solo 3. However, I do have some gripes that I will detail below. For one, they do fit over my ears and are quite comfortable and secure. However, I feel if my ears were any bigger, they would not fit. So customers with bigger ears may want to look elsewhere or at a different model. These are even easier than my Beats to connect. I have had far less issues getting these to connect and it takes me much less time than my Beats, which is sad considering the price difference between the two headphones. I was pleasantly surprised at how well the noise cancellation worked. When I have the noise cancellation feature on, I can't even hear my central AC unit. In fact, the difference with and without it was so stark, it took a while for my ears to adjust. However, there is a transparency mode (there's normal, transparency, and noise cancelling mode) that I absolutely hate. I believe what it does is use the microphone in the headphones and then amplify any and all noises for you to be able to hear the world around you. I could see this being useful if you're traveling or hanging out in an area where you need to be aware of your surroundings, but if you plan on using these solely in the office or at home, the mode is pretty useless and it really bothers my ears. I much prefer using normal mode and/or taking my headphones off of one ear if I need to hear the world around me. Awful mode aside, these perform much better than my Beats in the noise cancellation aspect. I have had occasional issues with my headphones completely disconnecting randomly (I am able to reconnect them quickly and easily afterwards though, unlike my Beats which would also randomly disconnect) and they do make a crackling noise occasionally, interrupting my audio for a brief second. I noticed these issues mostly only occur when the battery gets low, so I wonder if it is a means of letting me know I need to charge them. However, I think I have had both of those things happen on medium battery too so I'm not sure. Considering the price I paid for them and that they are Bluetooth/wireless, I knew I was bound to encounter some sort of issue. My Beats had similar issues, so I was expecting these to be less than perfect in that aspect as well. These issues are not deal breakers for me, but they may be for others. I'd say the battery is average/solid. I never think that they die too quickly, but I do have to charge them a couple times a week or so since I use them for the majority of my day, which is more often than my Beats. I have confidence that these would last over a full day of traveling though. They also do charge quite quickly, so when you do have to charge them, you aren't waiting long. My only complaint in terms of battery is that there is no way to check your headphone battery without connecting them (it tells me the battery percentage on my computer) or turning them off and then on again (a voice tells you whether the battery is high, medium, or low right when you turn them on). I liked having the battery indicator lights on my Beats Solo 3, but considering that these headphones are quite frankly better in every other aspect, I can overlook this. For the price point, these headphones are a fantastic and solid option. In fact, they are much better than my Beats Solo 3 (which typically cost well over $100). Despite my gripes, I do recommend these headphones. ... show more
