  • Good Amp for the price
Very good Amp for the price. Used to replace an older Amp that cuts out when it's hot out. (Op Amps maybe) of similar stats. Was worried about this Amp being able to live up to the specs. Then again, my original Amp was 10 years old and $130 at the time. But in the end, it sounds the same, and I don't have to fix the old one. ... show more

  • Pretty basic audio product
It works as advertised. The power is good, not incredible. I bought it because I had to hold the cost down, and this unit has high level inputs, which are great for upgrading basic car radios. It powers a small passive subwoofer, that was repurposed from an old home audio system.

  • Great value! I might buy another!
I gotta say, I'm very happy with this amp. No altinator whine, and I love the small form factor. I got an opened box deal for $20 - which basically puts this amp in the "disposable" class. It performs well above my expectations. Get this if: 1. You want a performance boost to a stock head unit 2. You want something that's easy to find a spot for 3. You don't want to deal with thick wiring I highly suggest getting an active line out converter. I have an Audiocontrol LC2i, and I think it may make a world of difference to the quality you get because of the increased signal output. I'd buy this again... In fact I'm considering one for my rear door speakers too! ... show more

  • Problems on problems on problems: Avoid at any cost
This amplifier is complete garbage. Maybe it's because you get what you pay for, or maybe because it's actually a bad product. Either way, it only lasted 6 months, and during those six months, it was a huge pain. Upon installing it, it became immediately necessary to buy a ground loop noise isolator because it would make intolerable static with the engine on. Occasionally, it would make static without any inputs plugged in, despite being very well grounded. All the time, there would be a quiet static when any input cable was plugged in, and this occasionally got louder and more annoying. It was practically impossible to set the gain to where it should be because the static would become unbearable. Sometimes it would make loud static only after all audio has stopped. Sometimes, it would stay on with the ignition off, making a VERY loud, short noise after killing the engine. This was absolutely terrifying the first time it happened. Then I would have to pull apart the dash, wherever I'm parked, and keep a screwdriver in my car to disconnect the amp. I suppose it was shorting out internally somewhere between the power and the remote wires. It blew a fuse in my car twice. While I know that an amp should be wired right to the battery, it seemed unnecessary for this one considering that it is essentially the same power as an aftermarket stereo. So it was an unpleasant surprise when I found that my power locks weren't working so I had to change a fuse under the hood while parked in a bad neighborhood at night. My recommendation: Save your money for a real amplifier (maybe even a Class D one), this bottom shelf piece of junk is not worth it when you'll have to replace it within half a year anyway, especially with all the hassle it came with. Not to mention, you would have to pay $20 for a warranty replacement. I certainly wish I could have my $25 back to put towards something that will at least work semi-reliably. ... show more

  • Great little amp - in a minimalist sound system
I have a lightweight Miata, and I wanted a minimalist sound system in it..... light weight and no visible clutter. No head unit, just a JL Audio Blue Tooth receiver and this amp driving two Polk Audio speakers in the doors. It worked out perfectly! Plays nice and loud, but no head unit, and no added weight in the lightweight car..... recommended ... show more

  • no noise filter
So it works, and its loud at full range! But there is zero noise filter in the electronics. It sounded awful and the wiring is as direct as you can get it from a quality headunit. I had to add an external grounded noise filter which got rid of most of the noise but certainly not all.

  • Not great
I love inexpensive car audio, this one….I do not! Weak output, cheap housing, poor sound quality. Overall, not worth it.
