I have used some small usb powered pc speakers connected to the 3.5mm port on my monitor for years and had zero issue with sound until my monitor started to die. I bought a new updated monitor and plugged those same speakers into its 3.5mm port and the sound was much weaker and not very enjoyable to use. Volumes would be maxed out on speaker, pc and whatever player was being used (youtube/twitch etc) where with the old monitor PC would be at 100% while players were between 25%-30%. I was looking for a small soundbar that i could sit under my monitor and saw this one with favorable reviews and a good price with a size that should be perfect for my placement idea. A couple of days later the speaker is at my door and it looks nice but has a non removable usb cable hanging out of the back, I did not expect this but for my need/use it's not a problem. Connecting the speaker to my USB hub a unobnoxios voice says "U S B Mode" and audio starts playing. no drivers, no config, just plug it up and it works and it sounds great. There is RGB lighting, because RGB makes everything better right... there are several modes of lighting and it CAN be turned off, which I did. There is good volume considering its small size. It has surprising bass response and good midrange but is lacking on the highs, weak trebel has been my experience with all of the bluetooth speakers that I have tried. Don't get me wrong, you're not gonna rattle the walls and rock the house with this speaker but you will have a nice experience when watching videos/movies/streams on PC. I tried the bluetooth feature out, pairing it with both my phone and PC and the process was easy and the sound was as expected, no difference from being hard wired by the USB. My PC/player volume levels are less than before 70%-80% PC volume with 10%-20% youtube/twitch player volume compared to my old speakers being maxed out. I am very happy with the new found volume and the size/style/appearance/function of this speaker and I have added another to my cart. ... show more

This speaker is actually kinda fantastic. It's not top of the line, or anything crazy - but it does what it does really really well for the price. I have it connected to my laptop through USB, and my Switch 2 via Bluetooth. Incredibly easy to operate to switch between the two connections. Volume control is on the speaker itself or through the connected devices. The lights have a few different options or you can keep them off entirely, to suit the look you want. Sound quality is surprisingly good, and can be heard clearly from across a room. Don't expect it to replace a full sound system or anything, but for the price you would be hard pressed to find a better deal. ... show more

First of all, I like it. It sounds decent, it's unobtrusive... but as mentioned in other reviews, it switches to and announces "BLUETOOTH MODE" in a computerized English accent at random intervals. I wasn't able to locate any firmware updates or other resolutions. so I emailed the seller to ask if they knew how to fix it. Eight months after my purchase, they gave me a refund. I mean... that's cool of them, I appreciate it, but the soundbar still switches randomly. If I figure out how to resolve it, I'll edit my review, but for now, it's pretty crazy to head "BLUETOOTH MODE" when I'm in the middle of a hockey game. ... show more

If you're even slightly an audiophile, the sound from this speaker will be just barely tolerable. Ignore the frequency response quoted in the product description — it's inaccurate. Suffice to say it's okay for the price, under 20 bucks. Good for travel I think. Otherwise spend some more money!

Overall this has great sound. It could be a little better base wise but for gaming and casual music listening. It also has good sound when talking with someone using a standalone mic vs a head set. The biggest issue I have with it is if I turn it on before my PC is fully booted up the windows start up sound gets SUPER loud for the first second then goes to normal which is why I gave it 4 stars. But that's easy to avoid by just turning it on after windows is fully booted up. It does have a bluetooth mode as well. I have tested it for one song and it sounded good but I haven't done extensive testing with bluetooth audio. It also has RGB (what doesn't these days). The colors a bright and vibrant. It's easy to change the color and mode to fit your personal taste. For $20.00 you will be hard pressed to find better sounding speakers.
