I cannot get over the name of the company. SouLarge. Pernounced So Large. Really?? Who came up with this name. I almost didn't buy this jacket because of the brand name. I'm a big girl. Always have been. I don't appreciate a brand name like this. If the made kids clothes would it be SouLittle??? The jacket on the other hand is well made, heavy and very warm. Living in Wisconsin, winter can be unpredictable and unpleasant. It seems to be well made. We will see how it holds up.

Had to return this coat… Ordered a 4X figuring I need to bump up the size based on the other reviews. I’m five 4 1/2, 280 pounds. I am kinda apple shaped. This coat could barely be snapped. It did appear to be well made, and if you don’t mind the weight of a heavy coat, maybe this would work for you. But for me, I carry enough weight as it is he didn’t need the extra weight of his coat. Additionally, the coat came to the bottom of my hip rather than the upper or mid thigh, so it wasn’t long enough for me. The arms were also too long. In general the proportions weren’t there. I would add I typically don’t have issues with proportions when I buy plus size women’s clothing. Arms and legs are average length. I am a 20 to 24 at a Lane Bryant or torrid and a 3X and most everything else. Hope the info helps. Happy shopping.

I ordered a size larger than normal and it fits fine, have plenty of room. It is a heavy coat. The only complaint I have is the zipper is very hard to zip, almost sent it back but I can use the snaps to keep it closed.

I wear 1x clothing. I ordered a 2x coat, the same size as my old, loose-fitting coat. Mistake! It zipped, but fit too snugly for my preference. I returned it and got the 3x. It is a much better fit. However, they added an inch (or more) to the sleeve length. Do they think that our arms grow longer as we add girth? LOL. I sewed the ribbing tighter and it works. Beware: the zipper is backwards! Instead of the zipper pull on the right side, it's on the left. Being right-handed, it's a bit awkward. I imagine that lefties will love it. I read comments about the coat being too heavy. It's 5 lbs. The warm sherpa lining and lined hand-warming pockets more than make up for the weight.

I like that this coat is heavy and lined. However, the sizing is an exact fit (2x) which leaves no room for layering. I tried the coat on with a tshirt and there is no for layering with a sweat shirt. Other than that good product.

I love the fact that it keeps me warm and fits well. I can put something under it . I don’t like that it came to me so wrinkled that was very unattractive.
