Use all the time for cooking meat, makes it so easy, can just clamp the lock and flip and flip with little spillage until the meat is done. Not very good for toasting bread, but haven’t tried putting a full sandwich in there and pressing.

    • Simplest pressed sandwich maker I've had the pleasure to use
Gonna be real - I don't like George Foreman grills or standalone panini presses because I don't use them often enough, so the process to use them for a panini is tedious because I have to include the whole clean up and put back in the cabinet shebang. This pan though... this little pan answers all of my main gripes. It's stovetop so I don't have to free up plug or counter space. Next, it's super small so I can just stack it on top of another pan in the easily accessible cookware cabinet (more likely this goes straight onto the pan rack with how simple a pressed sandwich can be made on it - and the bonus to be mentioned later.) And finally, it's as easy to clean as any other nonstick pan in my kitchen. And that's not even mentioning how easy it was to grill a sandwich with this pan. It heats up super fast since it's so thin, the clip made it easy to keep the pan closed while flipping, and the non-stick was perfect enough to peel off any burnt bits painlessly. I'm talking this was a 3 minute sandwich - put the pan on the grill, assembling the sandwich (pepperjack, salami, pepperoni, and ham with a bit of hot sauce and kewpie mayo for anyone wondering), popping that bad boy on the grill, and then sliding it onto a plate. It was the breeziest breeze of my life. I have nothing but commendation for this pan, best budget product I've ever reviewed - it's not even $20. Oh yeah, the bonus? It's super easy to just unhinge half of the pan and use the half still on the stove as a little frying pan. I beat 2 eggs and then made a little square egg patty to fold over to make a little breakfast ham egg and cheese sandwich right after finishing my little Italian moment. Genius design. ... show more

I honestly thought I might be disappointed BUT I wasn't. Not at all. This sandwich press is affordable, light weight yet heavy duty, crazy easy to clean, and makes the perfect grilled cheese in a matter of minutes. I was really impressed. I love that there is also a latch that holds the handles together making flipping the press and sandwich a breeze. You seriously only need this when making the sandwich.
