Bought this for bottom fishing blackfish specifically (tautog) reel performed flawlessly coupled with 60 lb rated braid. The pole to me is a more of a light/med not med/ heavy as listed. The plus to this was i was able to feel the difference between the bouncing on the rocks, bottom, or the fish bite was easily distinct. Great rod just make sure to set the settings also there is a clicker you just have to have the lever that lets out line pushed down to activate it. Last you have to break in the rod but all in all it is a great rod for a great price.

I received a spinning rod and a baitcast reel, it was near impossible to ast correctly so i had yo borrow a diffrent reel from my brother, and now I have to purchase a separate rod for the reel. The pole is nice and so is the reel, but they dont match
