I was blown away with the quality and look of these boots! I figured they would be sufficient in quality but they are so much better than expected. First, they do look exactly like the picture. The color of the leather is a nice rustic brown and looks and feels like real leather. The square toe looks trendy and modern and they have good quality stitching and hardware. These also have a short side zipper, which is not very common for men’s boots. The size is true according to the size chart. But what impressed me the most about these boots is the comfort! These have a very noticeable & comfortable arch support and a cushioned insole and are easy to wear for the entire day, even during the first wear. Boots normally need a break-in period, just because of the stiffness of the new leather materials. But these were comfy from the get go. The boots also have a very durable and thick outsole that seems very slip resistant, so not only are these boots handsome enough to be worn in more formal or business settings, they are also suitable for working in. Overall, the price is phenomenal for the quality and appearance of these boots. They would make a very nice gift for any man and I highly recommend them! I will be looking for shoes & boots from this brand!

The fit and materials of the "TruVeld Men’s Western Cowboy Boot -Classic Embroidered Slip-On Square Toe, Slip-Resistant Country Boots with Chunky Heel, Durable Ankle Boots for Spring & Fall (Black)" are not at all what I was expecting. I've worn western boots for casual wear from high school until my first hip replacement. I stopped wearing them because it became harder & harder to comfortably get them on and off after that. These boots are exceptionally easy to do so with the zipper on the inside of the leg. I wear a 13 E or EE typically. I put the TruVelds on a week ago to start breaking them and quickly realized, there is NO breaking in because there isn't any leather in these boots at all! The soles and heels are all rubber, which makes them not so great for dancing as they don't slide or pivot smoothly like like leather. The uppers are made of something like microfiber I'm guessing, that looks just like real leather (just like my new recliner). They are very comfortable, in fact. I find they are a little loose around the heel however and I'm not sure just yet what to try to correct that. I have received several compliments on the blue color on the leg of the boots that looks great with blue jeans. I don't think these would make good work boots either as the Microfiber will not hold up anywhere near as long as leather under tough conditions. Best for dress, casual day at the office or walking around. Not a good choice for hiking in rough trerrain. Overall they look great but they just don't make that distinctive sound of true leather cowboy boots on a hard floor when you walk across the room or down a hallway. But then these boots don't cost more than a full time minimum wage job pays in a week so.... RECCOMENDED! Especially for those of us who like the look (provided that look isn't real close 🔎), but not the high price of high end boots.

Decades ago I lived in my Cowboy boots. Back then they were purely pull on with hard leather to the top and slick soles. Breaking in the leather and the soles was the responsibility of the boot wearer. I am now in my 60s and I have to say I am loving having Cowboy boots again because these are the great classic look but with none of the pain or slippery soles like my boots of old! These are faux leather but I have to say that material has come a long long way from the early stuff. To me these look and feel like leather. I would not have known except for the materials listing on the web page. There is a nice feature on the side where they have placed a zipper which makes it very easy to slip these on and off with no struggle. The shoes are comfortable and the soles are non slip rubber. The material of the uppers is soft and pliable but holds a great shape. The toe box is generous and the sizing is true. I am a regular size Mens 11 and these fit perfectly when I ordered the same. I really like the detailing but not many will see that part as I never wear my pant legs tucked in. I did for the picture only to example the upper part of the boot. Handsome as the tops are I will keep them mostly covered! Great boot with a great look at a great price.
