I bought this unit to replace my OEM head unit that came with my '06 Corolla. I purchased the unit from Amazon and had geek squad technicians install it at best buy here in Atlanta, GA. I bought all the parts which I listed below (also purchased off Amazon except the wiring harness) with the help of Crutchfield I was able to determine the specific parts I needed. Make sure if you follow in my shoes you order the Advanced In-Dash Navigation or In-Dash Video Installation for $99 according to the technicians at best buy the $64 option isn't for this unit or similar units. However, save yourself the trouble and buy all the parts (listed below) off Amazon and save yourself some cash. I put this disclaimer in but the Metra 70-1761 Radio Wiring Harness For Toyota 87-Up Power 4 Speaker required for wiring this unit up to the vehicles existing harness was price matched and purchased from best buy as well. They wanted $17 for it so I showed the Amazon listing and they matched Amazon's price of $4.98. If you follow this step as well remember to ask for the wiring harness from the install bay do not get them from the shelf near the car radios because they won't price match that. This unit is amazing and I'm mainly using it for its Apple Car Play functionality and being able to mirror Spotify and Google Maps on my head unit is amazing and being able to hear sound through my car speakers makes it even better. The unit's screen is just as responsive as your smartphone. The sound is crisp and clean and this is coming from my car's OEM speakers. I personally chose this unit because I don't play CD/DVD's, I have no use for the in-dash navigation that comes with higher end head units, and all the extra bells and whistles that aren't necessary to me. The unit looks almost stock and clean in general with end to end bezels. The media could not be loaded. Sony XAVAX1000 Review & Install on 2007 Hyundai Elantra: I was a little skeptical of this unit and have always been skeptical of aftermarket units as I think they're ugly, of terrible quality and a pain in the a** to use. This Sony unit checks ALL the boxes + more. The interface is beautiful, simple and EASY to navigate unlike most aftermarket units. Apple CarPlay works SEAMLESSLY and flawlessly. Connecting a backup camera was EASY and my unit looks so good mounted into the license plate light (all links for what I needed are listed below). I was worried I wouldn't like the USB port next to the screen but it really doesn't bother me other than the look isn't great but it was better than routing a USB port somewhere else and way simpler + this unit has AUX if you need it. My only complaint is that the touch screen is capacitive and it's kind of old school. Granted you're not touching it much and it works just fine, it's just not as nice as say a high quality glass or plastic display with resistive touch. That being said, I purchased an open box unit from Amazon in perfect condition-sealed for $250 so I have ZERO complaints. I had a hard time figuring out how everything would come together for a 2007-2010 Elantra but below are all the items I needed that made for a perfect install. I am EXTREMELY satisfied with this unit and setup and could not be happier. It looks great, it has a REAL volume knob, Apple CarPlay is kick a** and I have a backup camera mounted to look OEM! I HIGHLY recommend this unit!
