I tried a few different TVs before buying this one I tried the tcl r635 the vizio p series quantum and then the sonyx90j I liked the x90j the most but it wasn’t as bright as I would have liked so when the x95j came out I decided to upgrade to it. Mainly because the XR processor is fire this year. I’ve had the tv about a week and I really want to like this tv but there is something wrong with this panel it is definitely brighter than the x90j but the performance is in my opinion worse do to the panel there are uniformity issues along the border of the tv that I didn’t have with the x90j. There is also a noticeable and distracting flicker is dark scenes along the left and right sides I believe this tv should and could perform better. I would be happy to change my score if someone could reach out and see if we can make this right because as of right now I liked the x90j better. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Got the 85”. Damaged internals. Not visibly damaged from the outside. Replacement is on the way. Don’t know whether to blame Sony or Amazon, but Amazon’s service was great at least. Let’s hope this gets resolved on the second attempt. I really want to like this TV…

No upgrade in picture quality… big upgrade in user interface (from Android TV to Google TV). Its slimmer and better cable management in the back. Cant tell any difference in 120hz when gaming COD. Just my opinion but i think 120hz is a sales gimmick. It is a great TV if you are upgrading from a really old tv. But if your tv is only a few tears old and has the more recent specs then dont upgrade… its not worth it even on sale. ... show more

I’ll keep this short, sweet and to the point. I upgraded my old 2011 lcd tv to this and I am not disappointed. The brightness, contrast, colors and motion flow are superb. Excellent for 4k movies, gaming or just streaming Netflix. I’m happy I chose this over OLED. (Was deciding between the two) Contrast wise it is just as good as a OLED, but it blows OLED out of the water for everything else including the price. Sound delays just like other models when over processing sound and video, sometimes it may turn itself on, though may need to borrow an EMF detector to be sure its the TV or not :) .Bought this SONY as LG craps out wayyyy too fast. Disappointing part is no more 3d, some movies just really worker well in 3d. Otherwise picture is great, its a decent looking tv and hope it lasts like my other sony, XBR2 still going strong after 15 years I think? The simple gripe is memory, come on SONY be cheap on cheap models, I had added like 4-5 apps and was out of memory, pathetic. ... show more

Kinda bummed was hoping that this new Tv would last longer than 25 days. Contacted Sony about a replacement. Waiting to hear back from Sony??? ..... Waiting for weeks now and no replacement. Seriously dont buy this tv. Looks like i will be giong down to Costco or Best Buy and purchase a replacement that is NOT a Sony. Thumbs down on Sony. It has take three weeks to get the replacement. Hoping it lasts . Ore than 25days. To top it all off and like it just couldn't get any better... The price has droped in two and a half months by more than 800.00 dollars.. whew its like i have been robbed. ... show more

Excellent overall experience but for the money it misses the mark. I bought the 65”. I feel that for the money that I paid it should have come with the antireflective coating and the backlit remote control. The picture quality is darn near perfect but it has some obvious blooming issues. I also have a Samsung Q9FN but it too has blooming issues. Right now the only way to get around the issue is to get an OLED TV or wait for a MiniLED. I expect that when Sony does do MiniLED it will be the one to beat. For now thought I enjoy the picture quality of this TV immensely. When watch a movie or OTA TV the blooming issue is not apparent. It only becomes an issue when captions are displayed ... show more
