Bought these a year ago and I'm very happy with them. They show a little wear and tear, but I'm very hard on my products so that's no surprise (the 2 previous cheap pairs of headphones I used broke in under a year). Happy with the sound quality and very comfortable, mic seems fine. My only complaint is that the battery life could be better. I have to charge them after every use and if I'm gaming all day they will run out of battery. Luckily they can be plugged in to the controller so it's not a big deal, but then you can't use the vss (although imo it only has niche uses anyway). These are solid headphones. They are comfortable enough to wear while completing raids on Destiny 2 which can take hours and I don't have to worry about battery life. The sound is good but I tend to keep the game volume down so I can hear my friends. If you like to blast your eardrums to oblivion look at other headsets because these aren't great at loud volumes. You will get some distortion and popping. At normal volumes, these suit their purpose just fine. ... show more

These headphones have fantastic sound quality and get as loud as your ears can possibly take. They are extremely durable and pretty comfortable as well. The only thing that is somewhat lacking is the microphone but it is a very small issue. The microphone is plenty clear for people to understand in game and it is easy to adjust microphone volume in the PS4 settings to compensate. The headphone app is a very cool feature and works like a charm for bass boosting. Game sound: 5/5 stars Microphone: 0/5 stars. My God. The microphone on this thing is GARBAGE. The volume is so low and it changes your voice to sound like robot-ish. When you test the mic on your console the mic sounds excellent but when you hear the mic from your friends’s headsets you realize the mic is actually trash. I also own the PS5 headset and that one is the way way: excellent sound but “ok/decent” microphone. The sound on this headset is excellent. It cancels our environment noise really well, it is loud, and has decent bass. Overall, very happy with the sound. It really helps me fully immerse myself in the game and completely helps me forget the environment around me. But the mic is absolute trash. So I only use this headset for the sound. The sound is actually just as good as the PS5 headset, so I am now kind of stuck with two headsets with excellent sound, but one with a trash mic and the other with an “ok/decent mic. My recommendation: if you want a PS4 headset w/ excellent sound but a trash mic, then this one is for you. But if you need a good mic and good sound then look elsewhere. I have nothing to compare these headsets with, although in a couple of days I will get my hands on the SteelSeries Arctis 7p. ... show more

I was debating upgrading from the PS4 stock mic for years, and finally went the new gold headset after it broke. All I can say is in hindsight, I wish I would've upgraded years ago! Amazing sound quality, and I have had NO complaints from friends about the sound of my mic (built into the headset). The price point is definitely on the higher side, but if you're an avid gamer and play multiplayer games frequently I would purchase these in a heartbeat over any Turtle Beach headset or competition on the market. If there is any reason to give this product a knock, it would be for the comfort (hence the 4/5 stars). The over the ear cups fit great, however after 10-15 minutes my ears started to sweat and I felt like I needed a quick break from them. However, I can imagine this being an issue with any over the ear headset. ... show more

Wanted to get a wireless headset so I could walk around freely while I played. I've had these for a couple days now and I love them. They are super comfortable. The sound seems to be good and so does the mic. I picked this pair specifically because the old gold wireless headset had a hinge on the headband that would cause problems and break. This newer unit has no hinge on them at all. They adjust by sliding the earpieces up or down on the headband. I think people might be having mic problems because they are wearing the headset backwards. Each side has a R or L so make sure you have them on the right way. I walked into the other room several times without these cutting off. Battery seems pretty good as well. I played 4 hours straight without any problems. If anything comes up, I will add to this review, but as of now these seem to be really good. ... show more

I bought these because my other headset did not fit and I thought what the heck after reading the feedback on them. I got them and they are outstanding. The consistency of the sound is very good and the noise cancellation is great. Not gonna lie, I kind of doubted the mic since it is not out like a usual mic from a gaming headset, but from what I am told from people I play with, the sound quality is freaken awesome. They're pretty comfy. Overall, with my purchase, I am very pleased. For playing video games, you can't go wrong with these. ... show more
