    • Handy, but some flaws
I bought it to be able to control an older Sony flash wirelessly with my new A6600 which lacks inbuilt flash. I can recommend it for this purpose. As a general purpose flash though, there are several flaws: - I thought I could leave it on the camera and put in a bag. This does not seem to be a safe bet, there is even a section in the manual advising against it and for good reason - the "leg" of the flash with the shoe seems a bit weak - TTL overexposure - the flash overexposes about 1 stop when left on default TTL metering. Seen mentions of this in forums, so it does not appear to be a fault in my item. It seems to be safe to just reduce the flash power by 1 stop to achieve normal exposure - mounting the flash on the body is fiddly - it has to be switched off by folding forward, so there is not much grip to hold onto to slide into the hotshoe Other than the above, it works, but I expected a bit more thoughtful design from Sony's part. ... show more
