Blown Away
Style: Body Only
This is my first professional camera I’ve purchased. I’ve used the canon 5d a lot 10 years ago so I didn’t have expectations. I am amazed about all the versatility and functionality it has. For me being new and a beginner the ease of use was surprisingly great. The quality of the camera is fantastic and doesn’t feel like a lot of plastic like some do it feels like you just spent almost 3k on it. Great value. Battery life seems to be as expected but like all situations needing more as spare for long shoots is expected. The quality of the images straight out of the box is immaculate. The only thing I don’t like is the crop for 60-120p and I debated over it for months since I like shooting in 60 to slow down to 30 compared to like the Nikon z and canon r that’s comparable to this one. But the full frame is new to me and is stunning. Definitely a camera you’ll never want to get rid of

The 33MP sensor delivers stunning detail and dynamic range, making portraits, landscapes, and low-light shots look incredible. The autofocus system is remarkably accurate and fast, with real-time Eye AF that locks on to subjects with ease, whether people or animals. Great quality
Style: Body Only
Love it. My first "real" camera and it's everything I could have hoped for. I was going to join the Canon family but Sony has so many more lens options with the off brands. I don't use video much so can't comment there but I spent a week with it recently in Yosemite and the images were amazing. Well worth the money.

The Perfect Hybrid Camera for Photo and Video Enthusiasts!
Style: w/ 28-70mm lens
I recently upgraded to the Sony Alpha 7 IV with the 28-70mm zoom lens, and it has completely exceeded my expectations. This camera is an absolute powerhouse, perfectly blending stunning photo quality with exceptional video performance. The 33MP full-frame sensor delivers sharp, detailed, and vibrant images even in low-light situations. Colors are rich and accurate, and the dynamic range is phenomenal. The autofocus system is lightning-fast and incredibly accurate, especially with eye detection for both humans and animals. It’s made shooting portraits and action shots seamless. For video creators, the 4K 60p recording with 10-bit 4:2:2 color depth is a game-changer. The image stabilization ensures smooth, cinematic footage, even when handheld. The footage looks professional straight out of the camera, and the customization options allow you to tweak settings to suit any workflow. The camera feels robust and well-built without being too heavy. The grip is comfortable for extended shoots, and the articulating touchscreen makes composing shots at any angle effortless. The intuitive menu system is much improved and easy to navigate, even for someone transitioning from another brand. The included 28-70mm lens is a solid starter for general photography. While not the fastest lens out there, it’s versatile enough for landscapes, portraits, and everyday shots. I’d recommend pairing the A7 IV with a higher-end lens in the future to unleash the camera’s full potential.

Amazing Camera
Style: Body Only
After 15 years of shooting exclusively with Nikon DSLRs, I finally made the switch to mirrorless. It was a big change, but I haven’t looked back. Sony continues to lead the mirrorless market, consistently pushing innovation while Nikon and Canon have spent years trying to catch up. The Sony A7IV is a perfect example of that progress. The build quality is excellent, with a solid, professional feel in the hand. The controls are well thought out, and the layout is intuitive. Coming from Nikon, there was a bit of an adjustment period, but once I got comfortable, the system felt fast, efficient, and well-designed. One of the biggest standouts is the autofocus. Face and eye detection are incredibly accurate, even in tricky lighting. It locks on and stays locked, which has saved me from missing countless shots. The 33MP sensor delivers sharp, detailed images with plenty of resolution for cropping or heavy post-processing. Battery life has been much better than I expected for a mirrorless body. I regularly get over 2,000 shots on a single battery during multi-hour shoots. The dual card slots are another huge plus for professional work—no one should be shooting serious jobs with only one card slot. And with strong performance in both stills and video, this camera is a great option for hybrid shooters. If you're thinking about moving from DSLR to mirrorless, or just upgrading your current gear, I highly recommend the A7IV. It’s a versatile, professional-grade camera that delivers consistently excellent results.
