A beautiful piece of technology. I've shot photos with film cameras, Polaroids and I used to have a cannon dslr 12 years ago, the mirrorless APSC sensor is so cool. The images are sharp and clear even with it being a crop sensor. There's a ton of really incredible lenses available to really make things pop. I'm a semi-professional Canon shooter and needed a smaller camera to take with me on trips and vacations (the R5 Mark II is just too big). I was originally using a small point-and-shoot (Sony RX100 IV), but I found that camera to be too small, and the IQ was somewhat lacking. With that said, I borrowed a friend's a6000 and fell in love with its size. So I bought the a6700 and some quality lenses (Sony 11mm f/1.8, Sony 16-55mm f/2.8, and Sony 70-350mm) and got everything to fit nicely in a Think Tank Mirrorless Mover 20 camera bag. Now I have a small kit that's perfect for travel. And, the a6700 has IBIS, great resolution at 26MP, and excellent IQ using the above-mentioned lenses. All in all, this is my favorite "little" camera, and I plan to carry it with me on all of my trips. ... show more

Wow this camera is unbelievable with all the features/capabilities. The small zoom lens works for most portrait and landscape scenes. The different setting and autofocus is great and the AI capabilities in the camera. I also liked that the Sony had a metal frame rather than all plastic versus others.     • Stopped Working After 5 Weeks — Amazon Refused Return

Bought a refurbished Sony a6700 through Amazon and had a pretty frustrating experience overall. The camera initially arrived without the lens that was supposed to be included, which already made the purchase feel sloppy and poorly checked before shipment. Amazon eventually refunded part of the order and sent the missing lens separately, but it was still inconvenient and delayed being able to actually use the camera. The bigger issue is that after only about five weeks of light use, the camera suddenly stopped turning on entirely. No drops, no major use, just completely dead. Sent it to Sony and was quoted an extremely expensive repair that made no sense relative to the purchase price. What’s especially disappointing is that Amazon would not accept a return at that point despite the product failing almost immediately after purchase. For a premium camera body, I expected much better reliability and much better customer support from both the refurbishing process and Amazon itself. Really disappointing experience overall and hard to trust Amazon refurbished electronics after this. ... show more
