This is a great addition to any Sonos setup if you are looking to stay on the lower cost of things or your room is small enough you don't need earth shaking bass. It really fills in the low end of the sound spectrum and makes your setup sound even better. Connectivity was easy enough, but placement will vary depending on your room setup and walls. You may need to move it around to find the best place for the best sound, so don't be afraid if the first place you put it, you don't really hear it much or notice it. You may also need to play with the levels within the app to get it to your desired sound. The build quality is great and it feels premium. It's nice looking as well. The Sonos Sub Mini produces massive house shaking bass for a deceivingly small package. I use several Sonos speakers throughout my home, including Play:1, beams, Five, and a standard Sub. This Sub Mini is the perfect bass companion to turn any Sonos speaker system into an explosive, rich sound environment. It looks great, and is compact enough to make it portable or tuck away under a small end table. Its solid exterior makes it durable and weighty, with a quality feel you would expect from Sonos. It is also simple to connect and add to your existing system, as well as configure for the right amount of bass you want. Where the Sub Mini really shines is its powerful output and clear, deep notes, at a price point much lower than the relatively expensive regular Sonos Sub. Having owned a larger Sonos Sub for years, its audio output is astounding, but the Sub Mini rivals the bass output of its big brother very closely. At a price roughly 60% of the Sub, the Sub Mini outputs very similar levels of bass (detectable to my ear from different rooms). If you have Sonos speakers and have been considering bumping your audio experience with a subwoofer, I would definitely recommend the Sub Mini. "I recently added the Sonos Mini Sub to my existing Sonos setup, and wow, what a difference! I was honestly a little skeptical about the 'mini' part, but this thing packs a serious punch. The bass it produces is absolutely awesome – deep, rich, and surprisingly powerful for its size. It seamlessly integrated with my Sonos Arc and One SLs, filling my room with a full, immersive sound. I've been rediscovering my favorite music and movies, hearing details I never noticed before. The low frequencies are tight and controlled, adding a real weight and presence to everything I listen to. This subwoofer will accentuate the sounds you want to hear. It's easy to install and activate - just plug it in. The directions to connect it to an existing Sonos system are easy and workable. This is my 2nd Sonos subwoofer. I would but this item again.

I have a Sonos Beam sound bar connected to my TV in my great room that I have been using for a few years. The sound is fine but I have been wondering whether a sub woofer would make a significant difference. I decided to try the mini sub--it was sort of an impulse buy. I did not read any reviews and just purchased it based on compatibility with my sound bar. The packaging is pretty impressive and the product looks great. After I unboxed the sub mini, and tried to connect it, I was immediately disappointed. I could not figure out how to set it up so I re-boxed it for return. I went online and watched a few videos about installation and decided to try again. I unboxed it for a second time, watched a few more videos and tried two or three times and was finally successful. The sound is much better than without the sub mini. I am still working on figuring out how to best use the Sonos app to optimize the sound but at least it's connected. Sonos needs to improve its quick start guide. It is quite misleading and unhelpful. I am giving it less than five stars due to installation problems. Aesthetically, it is beautiful. It is a little early for me to totally rave about the sound but is seems good. ... show more
