  • Aerosol paint sprayer kit
I like using this kit to paint crafts, toys, furniture or minor touch ups. It allows me to mix my own paint and colors in small quantities and eliminate waste. Very easy to use just like spray cans.

  • Worked great
So simple but did a great job applying Cerakote. Had a little leakage at the rim attaching spray to bottle but other than that they were great

  • It did what I wanted it to do
I felt like I wasted a bit of money on these, they were a great deal for the price at least. I'm used to using aerosol paints and paint sprayers, but I needed to a couple of small jobs with custom paint. I followed the directions to the letter, the painting went flawlessly. (it's a good idea to wrap the can in a paper towel and rubber band, or use gloves to keep the can warm while in use) I had mineral spirits nearby and a couple of mixing jars for cleanup after use, I cleaned the stems and ran spirits through the sprayer until it ran clear. I wanted to use the sprayers again as there was at least half the can left, but even after cleaning...they would not pick up any more paint from the stems even though they were spotless. You could look into the stem opening and it was nice and white with no paint visible. You could insert the can directly into the bottle of spirits and it wouldn't pick up to spray. Weird. I tossed two cans after using both about 50% of the way with lots of aerosols left in them after each painting. I have two cans left to use, I guess I will have to set up my paint projects in line with each other and do a quick swap of paint jars before letting them set and utilize the full potential of the aerosols to get my money's worth. Overall: a good system to use if you do custom colors - thin your paint precisely Cons: Use the full can in one shot ... show more

  • Perfect for nitro guitar finishes! (Or anything guitar related)
I am not a professional refinisher, and until I purchased these, I'd tried only rattle can nitro (stewmac, old masters, and reranch). Those rattle cans did well, but put out larger droplettes, and were prone to throw out larger drops toward the end of the can. If you're looking at this, it's totally worth it. I'm spraying Old Masters Brushing Lacquer, cut 50/50 with lacquer thinner. (I also dabbled with full strength, and 3:1 (lacquer:thinner). I just like it thin for control, as I'm no master! The mist is so fine! It's pressure is low, and smooth. You can mist-on coasts, or lay it a little heavier by going over an area a number of times (I'd get everything wet, wait 3 minutes, and wet it all again, ad nauseum.) This does NOT do the heavy flowing coats of an airgun. It IS much more like any of the small air-brushes you've seen...slow, very fine mist, and low volume put out. But, it's steady, and consistent, and seems to have a larger area of nozzle spray, in comparison to buying the cheapest $40 airbrush. I didn't test the full strength mix on anything, but both of the mixes that were cut with the thinner had a fairly minor orange peel (again, this sprayer doesn't seem to be strong enough to "flow on" a coat, nor am I THAT good with this equipment) But, it's certainly easy to sand out, and orangepeel is even and small grained. With regard to how long a power cartridge lasts, it seems to be somewhat on par with a standard sized rattle-can, and I get about 4 of it's glass jars-full of liquid sprayed, per power canister. It's super easy to control, and even changes pitch a little when it starts getting low on aerosol. Easy peasy. Very much an upgrade over rattle cans, very much cheaper, yet not as unwieldy or up-front cost in comparison to a proper full spray rig. Ya know what, I take it back. You can get dang near a flow coat. It's just slow to get flowing (it requires a number of passes with only 15-30 seconds between passes, and in the shade). In the sun, and with slower passes, you get more orangepeel. All of it is super easy to remedy, either way. ... show more

  • Worked great.
The media could not be loaded. Sprayed Cerakote series c and it is fantastic. I decided to use this type of sprayer because I didn’t want the gun clean up after but a huge benefit is you can cap off and label unused material. I don’t know the shelf life but still a bonus. The sprayer moves a lot of material so in this case I needed to be about 12” away to get a nice coat that wasn’t too heavy. ... show more

  • Maybe the product's flexibility is the reason for mixed reviews.
This product can take liquid and atomize it into a spray. It does this well if you follow the instructions. I had to spray in-wall speaker grills to match my newly painted walls. Seeing the mixed reviews I hesitated but simply because there didn't seem to be other products that could do this, I dug deeper, watched some youtube videos (good and bad) and decided to pull the trigger. I don't have experience with other paints but I did a 1:1 mix of latex paint to water per the instructions of the speaker company. The goal is to not clog the little holes in the metal grill. I removed the little valve at the bottom of the dip tube as per the instructions I saw Preval provide on youtube when using latex paint. It took a few times to get it primed and get the paint flowing but once it was, it worked beautifully. If I waited a few hours between coats it would lose its prime but was able to re-prime it quickly and proceed. This sprayer worked so well, I also decided to paint my in-ceiling grills which came white from the company but decided painting them would make them match even better and it was true. If you read other reviews it's super important to not shake the sprayer once paint is attached or to tilt it over too far. If you follow these instructions and have a little bit of patience, this product will do what you need. It seems like a very good value since you can basically turn any paint into spray paint for not much more cost than a can of spray paint and you don't have to go get a big, much more expensive sprayer if you only need to paint a few smaller things. I don't usually take the time to write reviews, especially when I agree with the product's rating but I think this product has gotten a bad rap from people who were a little over-zealous and it caused them problems. ... show more
