These work great and I like that they are Zigbee, but wifi. Easy setup if you can figure it out. I didn't want to use their app because I have a Smart Things hub to control it. Ultimately just plugged it in and had Smart Things scan for new devices. Simple. Used one to turn my Christmas lights on and off on schedule via Smart Things app/hub. The QR code on the back of the plug didn't work for SmartThings setup.

I didn't need a Zigbee plug, but I did need to beef up the Zigbee network in an area of my home that had only battery powered Zigbee devices that didn't relay the signal like "mains" powered devices do. This was an inexpensive (and easy!) way to extend range and it worked great... I use HomeAssistant as my control platform and these joined right up. They definitely helped me out with reaching the more distant battery powered sensors that I was having reliability issues with in HA. They do work great as switched power too from my brief tinkering, but I'm not currently utilizing them for their intended purpose.

Paired / operating flawlessly via Home Assistant / Zigbee / Z2M/Zigbee2MQTT. Just realized that similar can be had with power reporting / real time energy monitoring / usage feature. For a fair bit cheaper. :/ But also... I'd imagine that reporting saps a fair bit of power 24/7/365 from multiple outlets. :P

I use these connected to a Hubitat hub (have 4 of them). Pairing was simple and quick. They turn on/off multiple times a day on a schedule or manually. Response time is great. I’ve only had one issue where one of them needed to be re-paired to the hub (an easy task) and that was after a hub update so I can’t definitely say why that occurred.

This is the second or third time I have purchased these, as we use them for my wife's Christmas lighting indoors, along with a SmartThings hub. They have all worked flawlessly fir a couple of years, until the last batch of four, which was received last week. Upon arrival, I set up two of the four in SmartThings, which was fast and easy. Upon plugging one of them in with only a single 3 foot LED-lit Christmas tree, it failed to switch on, merely flashing the tree lights briefly one time per power cycle. The other three of the four-pack functioned flawlessly, as expected. I swapped trees, outlets, even programmed a third unit in the same outlet with the same tree, just to ensure the actual S31 unit was bad. I sent Sonoff, the manufacturer, an email detailing the problem, and after two days got a reply asking for a video, several photographs, and other documentation in order to process my claim. Sent in all the documentation requested, minus a video, then after two more days, received another email requesting a video. I have no intention of allowing a faulty device to ruin my wife's little trees, in order to prove to a vendor that a 9 dollar item is faulty. Amazon will only replaxev5he 4-unut package, of which three function perfectly, and are also already in service. I only wanted the one bad unit replaced, not all four. Very poor customer service, in my humble opinion. UPDATE: After the above review was posted, vendor made contact with me, and offered to refund the entire purchase price of my 4-pack order. As I stated in my original review, I had no problem with the product; they have worked flawlessly in the past, as did three of the four in this order. I only wanted the faulty one replaced. At any rate, I rescind my comments regarding poor customer service.

I have tried many, many zwave and zigbee products. For the price these function as well as any other. Quick pairing with a SmartThings’s v2 hub, reliable use. I wish they could have shrunk the form factor a bit but overall a good product.
