Original review: Overall I am happy with this item - it met (but did not exceed) my expectations. Gardening has been something I really struggle with since developing back problems and this item will greatly enhance my ability to get back to a passion of mine, so in that regard I do recommend the product. I didn't find the plastic leg protector things to be particularly useful. In order for them to work they need to be the point of contact with the floor/ground and that creates some wobble. There is also some concerning wiggle/noise when making any sort of lateral/side-to-side movements while seated on the stool. The stool is rated for 330 pounds and from a pure weight capacity standpoint the stool is very sturdy. I do not have any concerns about it's ability to support my 300-pound frame when sitting still, but the wiggle makes me suspect that if I were to make a sudden lateral shift with the stool supporting all of my weight or perhaps if I were to sit down while coming in hard at a sharp angle that something would bend or break. Update: After perhaps one hour of use (sitting on it and bending down to pull weeds, VERY light use) one of the legs is indeed now bent inward (picture attached) making what was already a wobbly stool now unusable. I am going to contact the manufacturer and will update the review if/when I hear back. Update Part 2: I contacted them explaining the problem and asking if there was any sort of warranty, even offering to pay for a repair myselfz The seller immediately sent a replacement at no charge. The replacement does not have the initial wiggle that my original stool came with so I suspect the original had a minor bend in it from the beginning. I'm bumping my rating to 4 stars because while not amazing, I do like the product, and customer service couldn't have been better.

This garden seat is very sturdy but not too heavy for me to carry around. It folds up easily and compactly, and unfolds quickly and easily too. I've used it for both kneeling and sitting. One feature I really like is that if you're kneeling on it, the pad is raised a bit and not sitting on muddy ground, so when you flip it over to sit, you have a clean seat. Another nice feature is that when it's used for kneeling, the supports are nice and sturdy so I can use them to help me stand up. I'm very pleased with it, and I'd recommend it to anyone with old bones -- or any age bones for that matter! I haven't used the tool pocket, but it might come in handy in the future. I didn't receive any incentive for this review, I paid full price and I think it's worth it!

This stool is very strong & durable. Great quality! The downside for me is it's height. I'm approx 5'3" tall & this stool sits too far off the ground for me. I bought it to save my back & I don't think it will do the job because I need to bend so far over while sitting on it. Just for reference, I put the stool next to my sofa & checked to see which was taller...it was an even match. I wish they made a version for shorter people.

I purchased this for my mother, a 70 yr old avid gardener who also suffers from back, hip, knees and joint problems due to rheumatoid arthritis. As simple as this thing is, it has seriously made a difference in her daily life. She's not only using it outside as a seat and knee pad while gardening, she's now using it INSIDE the house. It's super light and portable, so she can move it and use the seat wherever she would normally be bending over for an extended period for time (tending the fire place, etc.) and is even using it as the knee pad for household chores (like scrubbing the floor, cleaning up a spilled mess, etc.). She loves that the handles in the knee-pad position help her stand up more easily, rather than just being a knee pad. It is sturdy, the pad is comfortable for kneeling and sitting. I may have to get her another one so she doesn't have to move it between inside/outside and clean it every time. I cannot recommend this highly enough.

Having had both hips replaced in the last year, I've found gardening very challenging. Bending over for long periods was very tiring on leg muscles that have lost much of their strength, and when I knelt on the ground, I found it very difficult to get up without something to help support my weight as I stand. I can sit on the bench in one orientation to weed my flowers or I can turn it over to make a kneeling pad with supports on each side to help me stand when I finish. The attached bag for tools is an added bonus. Well made, attractive, and very helpful!

I bought this foldable kneeler and seat because I have trouble getting up whenever I work in the flower beds. It's nice to be able to use the seat either way. I've had it about a month or so now, a couple things that would be nice would be if the pockets were big enough to put a water bottle or soda can in and for the legs to be a little sturdier. I am finding the legs to be a little looser after using it for a month.

The seat pads rest on a plastic platform that you can't see in the product pictures. I bought this in the spring and by that summer, the plastic platform was cracked in multiple places and the seat and kneeling pads had become detached. The plastic cannot hold up to kneeling when weight is less spread across the surface. The plastic covers for the legs fall off easily, so they are not very useful. If you switch between sitting and kneeling a lot, then you have to move the pocket every time. I ended up just tossing the plastic covers and the pocket.

This has made it possible for me to continue gardening. It's a bit clunky to move around from one part of the garden to the other without folding it up each time,...and I wish it were just a bit more stable, but it works well enough and makes it much easier to get up from a kneeling position. I took the tool pouch off, because you would have to remove and replace it over and over again if you want to use this interchangeably as a seat or a kneeling pad, rather than just picking one.
