No stranger to chainsaw work but recently bought some semi-rural property that requires getting more serious about it, and that means with safety as well. Bought these gloves together with the technical chaps. I always take an X-Large in gloves but was worried after reading reviews indicating they run big. I did not find that to be the case. My hands measure about the same as the reviewer here that posted helpful pictures: about 8" tip of middle finger to start of wrist and about 9" around. Sometimes x-larges are barely long enough in the finger for me, but these are just right, surely nothing extra. No weird tags or other strange issues others seem to have had. Of course the left is thicker on the backside for protection from the most common area for injury due to kickback. Not a flaw, it's a feature. Can't really tell if the pigskin on the palms and fingers is thicker too but possible I suppose. I held off on the highest rating as I don't know how they will hold up yet. Will come back and change if they don't. So far they have met my expectations and are in no way bulky, unwieldy or annoying. ... show more

My husband has bought several pairs of these gloves to wear when running a chain saw. Loves them. When the finger wear out he cuts off that part of glove and they become yard gloves

These gloves feel really nice on and you can tell they are very good quality. I was afraid they would feel bulky while using a chainsaw but they don’t. I would gladly recommend them.

The gloves it sent have a different wrist portion on the gloves than the ones pictured. Still very good gloves, but not the same as pictured. The ones pictured are warmer for winter and cold weather because they have an insulated wrist portion. These are nice but are stretch and velcro.
