We have two of these Installed and working well so far. The first one has been operating since February 2025 and heated well until outside air temperatures dropped below 32degrees F. Both units have been cooling well even when temperatures well above 90 degrees in New England.

My item was dent in the back, after getting in the window blew very cool air but rattle the whole time became much louder about 15-20 mins later big rattle and shut off giving me a P7 Error. Customer service take you on a merry go round email for a troubleshoot and someone will get back to you. Comedy Central more live open mic night. I would not recommend this item. The Soleus Air and Heat Unit is a great unit. The saddle configuration is unique and allows window visibility. This unit is very quiet and looks nice in the room. I couldn't be happier with this purchase and would reccomend it with 5 Stars hands down.

A piece of junk!! Tried to use it for heat at first. Worked fine until the temperature got close to freezing. Then stopped working. So I stored it for awhile due to my frustration. I pulled it out again this summer to use it for A/C. It worked for 2-3 hours and then started making this huge noise like the fan was coming off. Even in "quiet mode" this thing is noisy. But the fan noise now is absolutely ridiculous, like it is trying to destroy itself. Heed my warning....DO NOT BUY this piece of junk! If I could give negative stars, I would. I have owned and used this for about a month. I like the low profile in the window. It does grumble when the unit runs at lower wattages; it cycles through different wattages when in the cooling mode. It also seals in the window very well with the included rubbery blocks. It has about the same efficiency of a window unit. In the cooling mode it seems to run between 600 to 800 watts. In the heating mode It runs a pretty consistent 1100 watts, which is on par for a 10k btu. That works for me, since I run this unit from solar power. One problem as others have mentioned is the drainage problem. This affects the constant fluctuations in wattage. This then causes the compressor to vibrate the wall when at the lower wattages. It never runs at full power in cooling mode. As others have experienced, I had problems within a couple of days. It would cycle up and down and eventually shut off. I pulled the pop-in rubber plug and after draining, it ran again. I have a small container to catch the 1 to 2 gallons of water per day produced. There is no other way to drain it somewhere since it has no threads. I stuck a piece of 1 inch PVC on this tiny stub to direct the water instead of tracking under the unit and creating a big mess. I may try a dishwasher rubber drain connecter and pex to drain out the window in the future? I will update a fix when I get to it. I will also update the temperature cut-off for the heat-pump when winter rolls around. 9 Month Update. Here in South Texas we got down to 34° and it did work! It goes into defrost mode which reverses the hot and cold side for a few minutes. Most window units do not this. Here is a list of my observations. Pro's Inverter technology starts soft which is great for running on an inverter. Heat pump works down to 34° so far. Low profile Con's (Both in cooling mode.) Drain is horrible! Pull the plug and drain in a bucket or it won't run. It goes up and down in wattage grumbling in the process. ... show more

Replaced my air only with this one for heat. It’s very very loud. I love the ease of install and how it works but the heat sounds like a plane taking off and doesn’t stop.

Absolutely, love them! Easy to clean and drain when necessary. Love the Energy Saver option. Definitely, love the Heater built in especially with the baby and a bonus with the quiet mode. It is definitely worth the money spent having full function of my view and window. 😁

I have had this for a year and a half. It worked well until it didn't. I never got the wifi to connect so I can't speak to that but the unit most definitely was not quiet, although it was less loud when you put it in quiet mode. It stopped working recently and we performed all the suggested maintenance but still no go. Apparently the temperature sensor stopped working. I am waiting to hear back from the company to see if they stand behind their product. I will update this review when and if I do. ... show more
