I used these to light up some Halloween decorations (posable skeletons) on my lawn. They came with 6 color-changing solar-powered lights, thick plastic lawn stakes, and some screws (I didn’t use these). Setup was a breeze; pressing the button on the light toggles between colors as well as on/off mode (useful feature for storage). Lights automatically turn on at dusk and off in the morning. The brightness was much better than my Halloween-store black lights and have also been perfect for nighttime home mood lighting. Once staked into the ground the lights can be tilted to point flat or upwards by any amount up to 90 degrees (ie straight up). I have only used these for a week so can’t speak to their longevity. I had some hope for these, but was disappointed. I'm not sure how the reviewers have such different experiences with the lights. Things I liked: - Various color options - Solar - Sleek design - May work well in very dark rural environment Things that didn't work for me: - Solar panel position is dependent on the position of the lights. That means I either point the solar panel at the sun or point the lights where I want them - not both. - In my suburban neighborhood in December, houses and trees block the sun too much to charge the lights much. I could only get limited charge. I had to place the lights close to the house to get any light, but that meant they only got partial morning sun. - Not very bright. The street light over 100' away washed out the lights that were only 3' away from the target. If they had been even 1/2 as bright as the pictures, I would have been happy. I tried to light a tree and only got light up 2' on the trunk. Even 4 lights on a small tree didn't stand out enough to be noticed. - Not a viable for holiday decorating. ... show more
