  • Easy To Use, Very Detailed Results
Style: ULTIMATE Drinking Water Test Kit
I had been looking for a water test kit for quite some time, and was so happy to find such a comprehensive test. --> Pros: - Dead simple, in fact I had this sitting on the kitchen counter for weeks because I thought it would be difficult -- it was nothing more than pouring wanted into a couple of containers, sealing them up and shipping them off with a pre-paid label - Tests for everything under the sun! - Also has a bacteria test that you perform yourself - They email you a comprehensive report once the results are processed where you can look up all the ingredients or contaminants to learn more about what is in your water that might be harmful --> Cons: - Cost -- obviously this is not a cheap test, but if you care about your water, you owe it to yourself - The PDF file that they sent and the website are a little hard to follow. Especially when clicking on the PDF to get more info on the website leads to sometimes ambiguous or hard to understand terminology or descriptions, and their user interface is not good, so it took me a while to figure out how to get a deeper understanding of the potential contaminant level of something or what it even meant. They could use a UI/UX refresh on their website --> Overall: A great value for the money, comprehensive, easy to implement test that tells you all the potentially harmful things that can be in your water. Aside from a glitchy website, all the information you need is right there. ... show more

  • Fastest and most affordable diagnostic test
Style: ARSENIC in Drinking Water Test Kit
My family lives out in the country and therefore we have well water. Well water naturally has arsenic but we have to be cautious about the levels. Last year my Mom got a water test from the county for $300 and tested high for arsenic. My Mom started getting water from local water purification stations but at her age I can't let that be a permanent solution. So when I was in town I ordered the Safe Home arsenic test for $59. It was so easy to do. I followed the instructions very carefully. Only tricky part was writing some info on the sample container cause it got a little wet. So you need to make sure it is very dry before writing on it. The postage was prepaid and got our results back in less than a week! Unfortunately the results confirmed the original county test showing arsenic levels double the EPA limit! So after further research I decided to buy a reverse osmosis system meant for well water for $500. It was somewhat straightforward to install. But after it was installed, I ordered another Safe Home arsenic test to see how well the filter was working. After a week, we got the results and they were at 20% of the EPA limit. I was thrilled. My family could begin drinking the water again. The home test was so easy and way cheaper than the county test. Plus it was fast. Just one week as opposed to a month from the county to get results. I will be ordering the Safe Home test yearly so I can monitor the levels and make sure my family continues to have good drinking water. ... show more

  • Test Registration Broken, Links Borken, Test Accuracy??
Style: PREMIUM Drinking Water Test Kit
I went to register this test kit, and tried multiple times - I eventually had to call to confirm the registation, becasue something about the system was broken and wouldn't send a confirmation email. I did eventually get the test restults, and the email contained a link to explain the results - and the link is broken! The was a really bad experience. If they have basic IT issues, how can I know he test results are correct, or if they didn't send me someone else's results?? If you happen to be reading this for this particular kit, this company has a bunch of other tests - I won't buy from them again. ... show more

  • Very informative
Style: ULTIMATE Drinking Water Test Kit
We used the ultimate test as a starting test to see what was in our new well. The instructions were well written, and easy to follow. The test results were very useful, but I did have to do a lot of research on what problems were flagged in the report because the link on their website to what all the tests mean is broken. The test is very expensive but it does show you practically everything you would need to know. Prior to purchasing this test, I called our state DEP Clean Water Department. I spoke with a gentleman about what tests I should preform. He told me that I didn’t need to test for all the parameters this test tested for and directed me to the states testing program. When I looked at the states testing program, the tests would have been more expensive than this test kit and they test for a lot more contaminants. If you have a new well, or have never done a full test, I would recommend this test. Once you know what you have in your well, you will know what to treat for, and you can just test for the contamination you know you have. ... show more

  • When you need to know!
Style: PREMIUM Drinking Water Test Kit
I moved from the city to a country home with well water. To treat our water, we needed to know what we were up against. This kit has everything we needed, plus more (in a good way). Sending it in, getting the analysis was easy. I recommend this product!

  • Useful results, helpful customer service
Style: PREMIUM Drinking Water Test Kit
I used these for work. The kit comes with very clear instructions and makes it super easy to collect and return the sample(s). I purchased two of these and both worked as expected. I even sent a non-tap water sample to see if testing could be done on it. The lab called upon receipt to question it, but after a brief, friendly conversation, they ultimately were still able to run the tests I was interested in. Looking at the dates on the report, it took two weeks for the samples to get through the mail and be received, and then it took another 10 days for testing to be completed and a report to be returned. I'm not sure if the two week ship time was the post office's fault or the receiving department, so I'm not including that as a negative review. Would definitely recommend them to friends and plan to use them again for any other water quality testing we need in our lab - a whole lot cheaper than what our go-to lab typically charges. ... show more
