This case is amazing for the cost! It was super easy to put on the iPad itself and was also easy to take off. The case fits perfectly and is snug enough for good protection.     • It's OK but very slippery material with no grip.
It's OK but very slippery. I wouldn't know about durability until after I've used it for a couple of years, so no sense in commenting on that. The unit fits the iPad mini 6th Gen very well. It's slim and doesn't add width to it, which is a consideration given you have a Mini to be small and hand-hold size. There is no slot for an Apple Pencil - this is not a negative, because those slots add width - but just be aware of it in case that's something important to you. (It wasn't to me.) My main concern is that the material is very slippery. I was hoping for a little more "grip" to the cover. Basically, you can slide this across a table like a mug of beer at a bar. That means it's easy to slide off tables and other places to place it if not careful, or if someone bumps it. It also makes it more difficult to hold as you have to be sure you are holding the iPad tightly, or it could slip out of your hand with a little nudge. ... show more

This is similar to the case for my old iPad mini. Don’t remember the brand but I checked all of the offerings hoping to duplicate it. I wanted a plastic, rigid case which would hold the tablet, but not with magnets! The reviews of the (very expensive) Apple case indicated the magnets are not strong enough and the tablet would frequently come loose and fall. No!! This case firmly keeps the iPad in place and I feel safe carrying it around. Inexpensive, too. The front cover is magnetized and shuts off the tablet when closed. Wakes it up when opened. Pros: easy on the budget, nice choice of colors, auto sleep/wake, cutouts are precise and give access to all controls, super-light. This case weighs under 4 oz. on my kitchen scale. Cons: bushed plastic is not especially pleasant to hold in the hand, e.g. while reading an e-book. Neutral: Not as good drop protection as some cases, but probably just fine unless you're planning to throw your iPad out the window of moving car or you live in a house with concrete floors. ... show more
