Very nice backpack! Bought this as a "back-to-school" item and it's way more than what's needed. Very roomy with a lot of pockets. You can feel how durable it is when you touch it. The USB port is great with a portable charger. I would certainly buy it again and I recommend it for anyone looking for a good, durable backpack.

This a well constructed backpack and has oodles of pockets and sleeves. I haven't had it on a full pack trip as of yet so didn't want to go overboard on rating but think this is going to be my go-to from now on. My previous unit had a larger storage space but was easy to lose things in so I think this unit I'll be able to sort into smaller spaces. Don't get me wrong this pack has a lot of room and I think will be very sturdy and long lasting. Two big trips coming up so may have to revisit the review.

If you’re interested with a compact sturdy backpack with loads of pockets this is a backpack for you. I got a black one with a 15.6 inch laptop sleeve and my laptop fits perfectly. My only worry is that the sleeve isn’t super padded so if it dropped it or something landed on the backpack it could damage the laptop. The backpack is decently waterproof, I’ve walked while it was raining with it on and the insides didn’t get wet at all though it wouldn’t set it down in a puddle because I’m sure the bottom would get soaked. My favorite thing about the backpack is how many pockets and sections it has. I’m a very organized person and I love how it gives me a spot to put everything. It’s even got a somewhat hidden extra pocket on the back for extra security. The back straps are padded with breathable mesh so it’s comfortable to wear while walking around. It’s also got a way to run a charger from a battery pack on the inside to charge things without having to take the battery pack out (never really used it but it’s cool to have). It has good ease of use due to the thick handle on the top allowing you to easily carry it around if you don’t want to wear it. Would recommend!

I decided that I wanted to travel light from now on when I fly, with just a carry-on suitcase and a backpack. I wanted the backpack to be fairly large (to hold overflow from the suitcase or items purchased on vacation, as well as things I’d want to have access to on a long flight like slippers, my iPad and Kindle, cables and chargers for the phone, etc.). And I needed it to be lightweight because I am a small person. So, once I have loaded it up, I didn’t want it to be unbearably heavy. I also wanted it to have good organization—numerous handy pockets, places for pens, a key As usual, I researched this for weeks and weeks, and weeks and weeks. This particular backpack kept popping up. The price was so reasonable that I assumed it wasn’t high quality. But over 105,000 people have reviewed it, and the reviews are consistently good. I was prepared to pay quite a bit more, figuring this would play an important role in future travels for years and could be considered an investment. I order another one that also had good reviews, but was considerably higher in price. But when it came, it was so bulky, heavy, and uncomfortable to wear that I returned it. It probably would have been great for someone bigger than me. So, I finally ordered this Matein backpack. And it’s fabulous. I got it in black, figuring that it’s a neutral color, won’t get dirty fast, and matches everything. I left for a trip overseas right after it arrived. It is lightweight, functional, and was very useful on my trip. The two side pockets comfortably fit a water bottle and an umbrella (I was glad to have it since it rained quite a bit on my trip). And it held everything I wanted to put in it, including a light jacket, a bag of liquids for TSA to check, slippers, reading material, some snacks, and lots more. I love the small anti-theft hidden pocket in the back (great place for my passport and boarding pass), as well as the side pocket that’s in the front, but not generally visible, where I stash my phone. It has numerous pockets to store items in an organized way. Highly recommend!
