I purchased this 2-in-1 Ionic Hair Straightener and Curler because I needed a device that can do both since I always straighten my hair first before curling. It would be nice to have less than 5 devices for my hair. I’ve been using it almost daily for about a week now and below are my findings. 🔍 Features & Experience Dual Function Performance: This tool is able to straighten my hair like any other straightener. It heats up really fast and has a digital display telling you the temperature. There are buttons on the side to increase, decrease the temperature and power on/off the device. The curling part of it is subpar because it's not a full barrel that you curl your hair around. If it was more round, then maybe it would've been better to do this. Now, some people are able to curl their hair just with the straightener part alone, but that is not me. I can't do that. I need the curling function. Heating Speed & Temperature Settings: Quick heat up time and you can adjust the temperature. The display tells you what the temperature is as it heats up. Hair Results: It definitely straightens fine. It doesn't make my hair shiny or anything, but no straightener has done this except the blow out brush/blow dryer device. I'd say the curl of my hair is subpar and I'll stick to my curling iron. Portability & Dual Voltage: Easy to carry around and portable. Safety & Design: Like any device, just be careful not to burn yourself. This gets super hot. It comes with a glove to use. 💡 Suggestions or Drawbacks It's a decent size and not that heavy. The drawback would be that it isn't that long, so curling your hair would be an issue if you have longer hair like me that reaches mid back. Only one barrel size: I usually curl my hair using a 1.4 inch barrel, but this only comes in one size It’s a curling wand versus the curling iron with a clamp. You have to clamp your hair using the straightener part on the inside or wrap your hair around. Heat is more directed inside the straightener part versus if you use a curling iron, the heat is evenly distributed throughout the barrel. When the temperature says a certain temp, it doesn't mean the barrel part of it is ready. The heat is inside by the plates so that part will be the hottest. You have to wait a while for the heat to start to dissipate to the plates on the outside before using it to curl. To get the barrel part on the outside to heat up, it might be better to lock the device shut and wait. I noticed after doing this, it got much hotter on the outside. If you are going to clamp your hair with the straightener part before curling then I find it hard to hold it together while trying to get my hair around it, I would suggest using the lock that locks it shut together and then using it as a curling wand. ✅ Final Verdict & Recommendation Decent 2 in 1 tool, but it won't replace my curling iron. It is good however for travelling when I just need a decent hairdo on the go without taking 2 devices. Now it may depend on everyone's hair type if this works for you on the curling function, so if you think about it, then this might be a decent price for 2. This is like over $25 per device type versus the hot tools that I use can be $25-$50, but I still prefer my hot tools curling iron. Straightening: It glides through my hair easily, and a single pass is usually enough to get a sleek, smooth look. It definitely gets the job done! One Thing to Note: Slow to Cool: The only real disadvantage I've found is the cool-down time. It takes several minutes before it's safe to unplug and store away, so you have to remember to leave it out on the heat-proof mat.

What you get 1 Inch Flat Iron Hair Straightener and Titanium Curler 2 in 1 (Corded) Pros - this heats up fast and has adjustable heat settings. For straightening hair this works really well, quickly, and no issues. Cons - for curling hair it is a miss. Only the inside where the plates are really gets hot enough to style so wrapping the hair around it doesn't work for curling - also when closed the iron isn't completely round. The actual work area plate on this is also pretty small so although for straightening hair it is OK - if you have longer hair there is no way to wrap the whole length in one go especially as the outside of the barrel doesn't get hot. Overall - the 3 stars are for the straightening element. If they had just listed it as a straightener it would have gotten 4 stars.

I have used a Remington straightener for years. When it stopped working I was planning to order the same one but I always check the reviews before ordering. Some purchasers claimed the Remington was inferior to the older ones so I looked at others. I purchased the Sokany because there were few negative comments. I was very unhappy with the new straightener from the start. It was harder to use and I burned my forehead badly, which NEVER happened with the Remington. I returned this straightener and ordered the Remington. I’m very happy with it.
