Good soil. A bit pricy, but, if you need it, I guess it's worth the cost.

    • This is actually great for terrariums, especially if you don't want to use peat
Size: 8 Quarts
I've purchased this twice in 2 different sizes. The first was when I was brand new to terrariums and didn't really know what I was doing. I did my first few setups using this soil and never had a problem. No deaths or rotting and most importantly no fruit gnats (Which I've encountered in other brands). Then I started mixing my substrates from other materials to meet the needs of my plants more specifically. But, I bought the 8 qt. bag of this because I knew it would work for nearly any terrarium setup (even carnivorous plants) based on the 3 main ingredients. I've also purchased other items from Soil Sunrise and they've been pretty high quality materials. ... show more

    • Not sure it’s soil
Size: 4 Quarts
When I received this the first thing I noticed was that the bag was very lightweight. When I opened it I thought it was more like peat moss than soil. It was very dry so I added it to the soil that was already in the terrarium and mixed it in. I don’t think it would work by itself.

    • Excellent product for the money.
Size: 8 Quarts
Excellent, fluffy tree fern fiber. Perfect for the soil mix I was creating. It was good quality. There were no foreign bits in it. I think the amount you received was a good value. I would buy it again because I don't have call for large amounts of it.

    • Great product for small projects
Size: 8 Quarts
I recently used this terrarium potting soil mix to create tiny snail terrariums, and it worked out perfectly! The soil is of excellent quality, providing the right environment for the snails and plants. I’d definitely recommend it for anyone looking to set up a terrarium!
