Like many others, I did not end up using the arm rests so I could slide the chair in close to my desk while I work. However, it looks beautiful either way! Regarding comfort, which is the most important thing to me, this chair is the most comfortable of any I have used in my 10+ years as a student. I have spent almost 12 hours every day for the last 3 months preparing for my boards, and I have ZERO back pain, butt pain, leg pain, etc. I am quite tall and have a long torso, so it is difficult to find a chair with adequate lumbar support. I was surprised to discover that this chair is perfectly fit to my body. Not the most comfortable chair for long periods of sitting, but I bought this because I wanted a chair that would last. Plastic frame chairs usually break (and usually the feet) after a few years of use. Also, padding tends to flatten over the years too, so that was out. Impressed! I priced the "Authentic" version of this chair with DWR, it's now over $3,000. For $200, the Laura Davidson version is amazingly accurate and well made. While I still respect intellectual property rights, patent and copyright, (I'm pretty sure the design patent has expired for this chair), it would be ridiculous to pay 1500% more for this chair. ... show more
