Bought this kit to replace worn spikes in my Foot-Joys. The old spikes were difficult to remove, due to dirt in the socket. Most were able to be removed with the tool provided. Some had to be pried out with a screwdriver (carefully!). Installing the new spikes was easier, but you have to use quite a bit of strength to get the all-important second "click" that locks the spike in place. Really good but the (tool) is not really worth it. My husband ended up using his own screwdriver and pliers. Save the money and just purchase the spikes.

Removal tool has teeth that cut into the old spikes. Easier to remove. I threw out the older tools, waste of time and strength. Easy to install spike with the new small tool.

We found that the instillation process of adding the spikes to the shoes was very easy, but when removing them after wear it seemed to be much harder even with the tool.
