I see some reviews where some people say it doesn't work or it flakes. I am a certified cosmetologist specializing mostly in Ethnic hair. I found this product and my styles have never been the same. It doesn't flake, as long as you don't use some other hair moisturizer before using it. Works with any kind of oil before use though. It's not an edge control, so don't say it doesn't hold for the whole day. I use it mostly to hold hair in braids and boy does it hold well. Makes your lines all straight and nice. The hold isn’t the best, no I haven’t noticed any flaking. No flaking could also be attributed to the fact that, I also use blue magic before adding Jam gel.
