Now, Dark & Lovely have been around for a long, long time, so I give them props for being the company to evolve something I thought could never change. My regular relaxer was discontinued so I went on the search for a new one. I saw the reviews for this D&L relaxer in the beautiful purple box and decided to try it. It was easy to use and I love the extra nourishing balm that goes on right after you rinse the relaxer. I was not sure if I'd covered all areas of my new growth, having gotten behind, time-wise, in applying to my whole head. When I rinsed the relaxer out, my hair just felt better. ALL of the post-relaxer conditioners/nourishers smell amazing and this was the FIRST time EVERRRRRR that I used a product and my hair did not smell like the chemical. I would usually follow a relaxer up with my own shampoo and conditioner to try and mask the chemical-ly smell. When I dried and styled my hair, my roots were as straight as could be.
