We love this bed! We recently moved and gave our old adjustable bed to one of the movers. It was bulky and weighed a ton, so it was time to find a new one. My husband saw the Japanese joinery beds and as a woodworker, it appealed to him…so being the “research to death” type of person, I began to look at what is out there. I looked at Nectar which had a few styles that we liked. Thuma had a more polished look and different headboards that we liked. Both of these had mixed reviews and things we didn’t like about each of them. The cost of the Thuma was ridiculous with the reviews they had. I thought I’d check out Amazon and what they had to offer. I found several and settled on Softa. It only had 10 reviews but we liked what we saw and the price was a little more than the Nectar and a fraction of what Thuma was charging. With the ability to return it if we didn’t like it I ordered it. It came in about a week and was actually 2 days early. Set up was easy with two of us. This bed is rock solid and so comfortable. No squeaking, no moving, solid construction and fits together like a glove. If you are on the fence about a Japanese joinery style bed frame, don’t hesitate to order this, you won’t be disappointed!

I was a little reluctant to purchase given the limited number of reviews but the frame is very high quality - all the pieces fit together really well and it’s feels VERY sturdy. It took me less than 30 minutes and just my bare hands to put it together.

We had a cheap metal bed-frame from a big chain store and were overdue for an upgrade. Couldn’t have chosen a better frame for our upgrade. Installation was easy! No tools specified but my husband did need something to squeeze in 4 parts near the end (think rubber mallet) Everything else was hand tightened and/or click on - as you can see in my video. HEAVY duty wood and everything came very well packaged. It’s been over a week and we have slept so much better and no creaking when either moves or gets up. Bonuses: • comes with charger ports • enough space underneath for our fur babies to hang out 🐾 BUY IT NOW. You’re welcome.
