I don't travel with our 3 cats...nor with any one of them.....so I can't comment on any travel experiences. However when the vet arrives they are all in escape mode. I used this lightweight carrier this morning for the feistiest of the three. Of course she was too wise to follow the scent of her favorite wet food last night, so this morning we did have to PUT her in the carrier.... when facing the front of the carrier, there are four choices: either side (2), front, and top. We settled on the top and it worked out as easy as is possible when putting a vet reluctant cat into a carrier. But having tried to carry her without any carrier it was like sunshine after the rainy season.

I love, love, love this carrier. Not only is it sturdy, but its actually attractive. I had to bring my frightened cat to the vet for the first time and I was wondering how this would ever happen with my "fraidy" cat. I bought this carrier two weeks prior to the appointment and left it out for her to explore. She used the carrier to lounge in. Enjoying the nice soft cushion at the base of the carrier. By the time her appointment came around, I was able to trick her into getting in and I zipped her right up. There are zippers on the top, front and side. Lots of options to choose from. There is also visibility for the cat to see almost all surroundings. She tried to claw her way out but the carrier was immune to her sharp claws. Held up very well. My cat is 13 lbs. and I got the larger size carrier. This was a good choice for her comfort. You can also (kind of) pet the animal while they are in the carrier too through the material, which you can't with a hard sided carrier.

•UPDATE• I really thought this was a good product until only three months of having it. I have only brought my two kittens to the vet twice and the carrier is already broken. The net on the front panel tore and a small hole has formed. I contacted the seller and was told they’d send me a replacement right away. I even expressed to them how happy I was with their customer service and their rapid response to resolve the issue. I have contacted the seller a couple of times yet I still haven’t received a replacement carrier one a month later. I’m really disappointed with the seller and their product. •ORIGINAL REVIEW• I love this carrier. I’m able to fit my two kittens in it (both are almost 5 pounds each). It’s very sturdy with the two kittens in it and doesn’t cave in like other carriers sometimes do with too much weight. I really like the colors and have even received compliments at the vet.

It's light weight, and has top, side and front mesh windows. The material cover on the bottom pad unzips, so you can wash it. The pad is thin though, and not that cushiony. All zippers seem well made. I don't unzip either of the sides, because then it collapses, so I only unzip the top, to load/unload my cat. I took her on her first 80 mile trip today. She was calm, quiet and looking around. I had a large hard cover cage before, so I really love this one. My cat is smaller. So she fits well in it, but seems too small for her to stand up in it. Still, I'm very happy with this carrier. I saw similar carriers in petsmart for $30.

I have two kittens, one is more skittish and tends to panic a lot in the hard plastic carrier. (She shoves her paws through the door hinges and scrapes her nose until it bleeds on the hard plastic holes). She tolerated this mesh carrier way better. She did try to “dig” through the bottom, but calmed down afterwards. She didn’t rip the mesh or tear any holes but we’ve only used it one time so far. It’s held up really well. I love that it’s soft (compared to the hard plastic one) and has so many places for her to see through. Will update with any issues!

I needed something inexpensive and sized to carry an eight week old puppy on a flight. He'll be a large dog so it won't be functional much longer but he did awesome on the flight and loves to go in it when I take him on short car rides. The quality is OK, however there is an issue with one of the plastic rods that run across the top, it is uncovered and could harm an eye of the dog/pup and of course with a young pup it is begging to be chewed.

This is a fantastic soft-sided pet carrier and is perfect for my cats. It has a soft fleecy base and open mesh sides. The carrier is collapsible however it stays sturdy and upright until I need to fold it, unlike my last carrier which was always collapsing even when my cat was inside it. It is also airline approved and meets TSA requirements
