I recently got this soft dog cone to prepare for a procedure my dog is having in a few days. I will be honest that I am actually impressed with the quality of this product. My favorite this about this cone is how soft it is. I was worried that the plastic piece was going to be flimsy and thin but surprisingly it is sturdy (also has a good thickness) and actually stays up, so far doesn’t seem to lose its form. I really like how the plastic edges are covered with this soft (almost rubber like) material. Its nice because if your dog bumps into you with the cone, it won’t hurt as much with them being covered compared to if the plastic edges were exposed. Personally, I didn’t have too much trouble with putting the cone on my dog. The cone has these buttons that snap along the sides when you open and close it. That was something really different I have not seen before, most dog cones that I have used in the past come open/close with Velcro straps. It’s a nice upgrade and the buttons do feel like the cone is more securely on. Another thing I wanted to point out was the attachable elastic loops that are used to hold your dog’s collar. That on its own is such an amazing feature because attaching your dog’s collar to the cone is so easy plus you don’t have to worry if your dog’s collar is too thick to go through the cone because those straps stretch out and snap on / snap off. As far as the size, I would definitely recommend sizing up. I got the large (my dog is about 65lbs) and the cone just fit. With the current large size, I have I don’t have any extra space or room to adjust the cone if I needed too. The one thing I do want to point out is that the depth of the cone is on the shorter side. Overall, this is a good dog cone, especially if you are looking for one that is soft and comfortable.

I am so glad I tried this soft dog cone for my dog. He's a senior with allergies and he licks himself constantly. Its annoying and can lead to baldness and never healing sores. I bought a $30 plastic dog cone from the vet and my dog hates it. This fabric cone is a total gamechanger! He is so much more comfortable eating, sleeping, and walking around. Unlike plastic cones, this cone is very quiet and does not make loud scraping noises from everything it touches. Note about sizing: If your dog's collar slips back down his neck often, I'd recommend going for the long version of the cone.

I love this! She has to wear it for several weeks, easy to put on and remove for washing! Washes great, comfortable fit and it folds back easily so she can eat and drink without removing it! Great find! Shipped quickly, good quality! I bought the XL, 95 lbs. was a perfect fit!

Cone fit perfectly; however, my dog hated it because she couldn't see. She would just lay all sad until we switched it out with the disposable one the vet gave us. I did like the removable section. Once she could move around more, we switched them back out. The soft part kept her from biting/chewing on her incision area and saved our legs.

Ordered XL Long for my large size dog. Hoping it would keep her from scratching and licking. Picture shows how it fits her and how the collar (not included) gets strung thru the loops. The loops do unsnap. There are plenty of snaps for the perfect fit and it’s very soft fabric. My dog is not very happy with me. But I’m happy with this purchase. Would recommend

Please note, the first picture is NOT of this product. It is the plastic cone that we got from the vet. My dog has to wear this all day and night for a month and a half. The plastic was scratchy, I can’t imagine it was comfortable to sleep on and he has an injury that was getting caught on the overlapping holes in the cone where it would secure and definitely made him unhappy. I shared the first picture so you can see the difference of how much better he seems in the second picture. It has snap closures that nothing gets caught on, is soft sided with no hard plastic and also has an extra detachable soft plastic that is not shown here. This product has made a difficult time SO much better!

I have a five month old puppy that had a bad accidental fall and broke his ankle. He's on full crate rest and in a cast from his hip to his toes. He needs to wear a cone to prevent him from chewing on the bandaging that comes out at the top and bottom of the cast. I definitely appreciate the soft, cloth section of this cone collar and I think so does the puppy. I also am happy that it comes with loops through which a collar can be placed to keep it snug. This collar has three snaps to secure it, and I was worried that a snap might come un-done and the collar would fall off, but the loops for the collar prevent that from happening. That's good because the snap closest to the pup's head did unsnap, so I affixed a piece of duct tape over that snap to prevent that from happening again. My biggest complaint about this collar is that the soft section has folded / enveloped (like the skin around a turtle's neck) and so it's length has shortened versus the pup's nose/ mouth area. If he wanted to chew on the top dressing that comes out of the top if his cast, he could probably get to that area. The soft fabric is doubled to make it a bit stiffer than just a single layer of material, but apparently, it's not stiff enough to prevent this situation. I've ordered a different cone collar that is all clear plastic in case the pup begins to realize his zone of access and gets a desire to chew. Until then, I like that the material is soft around his neck... but his ultimate, absolute comfort has to come second to preventing him from getting to the cast and chewing (perhaps ingesting) the bandaging.
