I came home from a long week of work to discover the ladder arrived, and I had to ASSEMBLE it. Who doesn't ship a foldable ladder assembled? They probably didn't assemble it because it was defective. I tried everything. That puppy is never going to fit into that damaged hole. I live on a small island and it's going to be hell trying to send this back. I am small (that's why I purchased a ladder) and elderly and really, really discouraged by how long I had to wait for it and that it was useless when it arrived. I really need it. Update: I worked on the bent hole for a long time with a hammer and managed to get the ladder assembled. It was about 4 hours of work instead of the 10 minutes it should have been, but it finally worked and that's all I wanted. This seems like a good ladder if you don't have to deal with all that. I feel safe alone on the high steps because of the handrails. So, I am updating this bad review. It was still pretty rough trying to fix that smashed part but at least it had a happier ending. Mostly because I don't know how to give up.

I have been sharing my joy since I purchased my new Ladder from Amazon with friends and family! The story behind this purchase was in January, 2023 I was standing on my old wooden ladder in my garage which has a high cathedral-type ceiling. I continually have a problem getting the pull-down ladder loose which folds up from the attic in the garage. So once again I set up my old wooden ladder to wrestle the attic ladder free . . . I was holding onto the foldable ladder in the ceiling and the old ladder slipped out from under me; I was still holding the attic ladder as it opened up with me flying through the air. I landed hard on boxes and tools with bruises and pain on my neck and head and my back and to the heels of my feet, when I snapped. I live alone, so I laid there for many minutes before I dragged myself up. When I recovered I looked in every store and talked with everyone I came in contact with . . . I knew what I wanted: I was looking for a strong, secure, with wide steps, lightweight ladder, easy to set up with the most important thing: the STABILIZING BAR which extends up at the top to keep me safe while I am working up high. I did my research and happily found it on Amazon! LOVE THIS LADDER! . . . It is absolutely perfect; I would change nothing about it! My photo shows what I call my 1970 "killer wooden ladder" to the left and my new Soc Tone 5-Step [& 5-STAR!] Ladder to the right which I purchased from Amazon, which literally SAVED MY LIFE! Thank you, Amazon Prime!!

I am very happy with this step ladder. I am a senior and was looking for a ladder that was suitable for my needs, The ladder has a safety lock to fix the ladder in place. It has handrails that gives you extra support when climbing on and off the ladder. The steps on the ladder are wide with a non-slip rubber pattern that adds to your safety. The ladder has a large size tool platform where you can store your paint can, paint brushes, hammer, screwdriver and other small tools while working. which is a tremendous convenience. Plus, the ladder is foldable, has sturdy construction, and is made with premium quality materials.

It is so sturdy. I absolutely love the handles on the side, and they have saved me from several falls. Itโs not that heavy. I would suggest two people to assemble just to make it easier and faster for the handles. However, it is very doable to assemble yourself as I did. I did prop the handles up against some thing to use as a second hand. I would definitely buy again if I needed another!

Much-needed ladder was slow in delivery and very damaged when it arrived. The ends of metal legs were crushed during transport. My husband began repairing before he told me about the damaged or it would have been returned. No photos of original damage. It is an awesome ladder for safety.

I love this ladder, the handrails, the tool tray, the wide steps are perfect especially for someone like me that struggles with balance and has a fear of heights. Lol. It is heavier than I expected, I do struggle trying to move it around the house. The benefits, bonuses, how well this ladder is made outweighs the difficulty in moving it around.
