I just finished my first use of my new Snow Joe Shovelution with spring assist handle, in 6 inches of wet heavy snow. This is a back saver ! I love this shovel !!! Its lightweight design with the added spring handle assist allowed me to avoid using so much of my low back muscles. I didn't have to bend over much at all, like I usually would. As for how it will hold up over time, that remains to be seen. The shovel is plastic, but seems sturdy. In this first use, its performance was solid, and it didn't bend. It has a good sharp blade on the edge of the shovel. It moves a decent amount of snow. As to its length and ease of use, I am a 5'2" female and I didn't have any trouble with the length of either handle. And it was so much easier heaving the snow aside than with a regular snow shovel. One caveat is that it shifts the effort to the upper body. My shoulders and arms are a little shaky, but not painful, although they might be sore tomorrow. But the key is my back doesn't hurt like it usually does. Excellent snow shovel ! Note: This is an unpaid, unsponsored review. And I did not get the shovel for free.

I've had a Snow Joe shovel before, I used it for years and I loved the two handle design as it does indeed help a lot with picking up heavy snow. After I had to get rid of first Snow Joe, I purchased a new one. It's still the same great design, only problem was that the shovel itself cracked in half on the first use. I also lost the metal bar at the end of the shovel, fell right off the same day. I could understand if I used it during a monster storm and there was ice and everything but I used it on a soft 4" inches (it's not the size that matters) and it just broke. I'm pretty disappointed because I do like the shovel design, it's just very poorly made now I suppose. It's not like this was a cheap shovel in the first place, I would expect this kind of quality on a $15 shovel from Walgreens or something, but this was supposed to be my "Ferrari" of shovels and I ended up getting a "Datsun."

This shovel works just as advertised. We had a snowy winter and the arrival of this shovel made the burden a little easier to manage. It requires a lot less bending so is easier on our shoulders and backs. It was easy to put together and proved to be sturdy. Storage takes up more space than a standard shovel, but it was still easy to hang or set in the garage for next winter.

I was pleased when using this for the first time. The secondary handle arm made pitching the snow much easier and less strainful on the back. What I did not enjoy was upon returning it to its place in the garden tool rack, I discovered the metal edge was missing. Ugh! Had to wait until snow melted to find it. Reattached and used a center punch to deepen the nothed capture spots. Just wasn’t satisfied that it wouldn’t happen again, so I removed and used a metal to plastic epoxy and coated bothe sides of exposed edge before reattaching. I am now confident that it isn’t going anywhere. Anyway, buyer beware. This is likely to happen to you as well since the edge is not riveted to shovel. Cheers

Great shovel! I was able to dig myself out of 3 ft of snow without issue. Really durable and it has a good metal edge to really scrape up the snow to prevent ice. And even though it’s nice and durable, it’s also very lightweight so you’re not killing yourself trying to use it. It comes apart too so it will be easy to store after this miserable winter. Definitely recommend.

I have almost same experience as another reviewer. I purchased February 2025, so not evena year old , I used it 2 times ,we had a light snow fall winter, then i pulled it out this year at 1st snowfall and the screw in the op handle came out and of course was lost ! Here's 2 holes in the metal handle but only 1 hole in the top-plastic handle, so the screw goes in and then the pressure it puts on the inside of the handle against the plastic is what's supposed to secure it.?,shouldn't there be an exit for the screw and have a nut / bolt on it or a spring clip or something ?..no,in this case ,nothing. So each snow fall now I struggle and fight the handle because it twist and comes off. This is shoddy manufacturing! I've been trying to reach out but to get nowhere. Now were going be dumped on at the weekend 😒 and no other shovel (if I ordered one,would get here in time). I hope that I do eventually get ahold of someone and get a replacement screw at least. Oh and now its almost doubled in price in less than a year.

Buyers beware. Shovel is garbage. I bought 2. fthe first one Broke after first use. (Metal edge fell off. Fixed it myself. Second one completely cracked after 3 rd use. I did register both shovels for their 2 yr warranty. I put in a claim thinking they would send a replacement head but instead got no reply. I called a few days later and went through this question process which was ridiculous. Sent pictures of the shovel. Then I sent pictures of proof of purchase. Final answer was we are sorry that your shovel is broken. We dont have replacement parts for your shovel or any shovels in stock. I looked online while on the phone and they were offering 30% off the same shovel. When I mentioned it he pretended he didn’t hear me. What he told me was they will give you a partial rstore credit minus 14.99 for shipping and handling. (Of what they are not shipping me). I paid about $50 on Amazon and they want to offer me $35 store credit to use w snow joe only. The shovel is only 1 month old. Dont waist your money. Company is also lying to us about their 2 yr warranty.
