First of all, this is a sniper game which means it’s a tactical shooter designed to have maps and objectives that can be completed by spending some time scouting, planning, and thinking. If this is the kind of gameplay that you’re interested in, this is a game for you. If you’re more into FPS faster shooter game play, this is not the best choice. I have played all the sniper ghost warrior games as well as many others. Here are some things to consider. Graphics are an improvement over previous games in the series. Gameplay is more oriented to large open areas with multiple objectives allowing for missions to be solved in many different ways. Load outs require gameplay to “purchase” upgrades for customization. Initial loadout is reasonable allowing for missions to be solvable if you use patience and thoughtful planning. Overall, this version of the franchise was an excellent installment with a significant replay value. The game does have bugs which can be annoying. I thoroughly enjoyed this game, it immediately challenged me and who doesn’t love a slo mo kill, oh my gaaawd that was my favourite thing about the game. I did all difficulties, completed all challenges and got all the Xbox achievements. I had fun with this!

Let me preface by saying that I really wanted this game to work but unfortunately it's broken, atleast on the Xbox One X. I got to the 4th map and every collectible cause the game to freeze and crash. The final mission on that map could not be achieved because the game would freeze and crash. Thus restarting each time. Load screen of 2-3 min each time only to experience the same issue. Hence they game can not be completed in this state and is broken. Do not buy it until it's patched. Graphics - They are okay. The textures are a bit muddy up close but it also a budget game. Motion blur can not be turned off on console at this point. There is no option for it or for film grain. PCs do have the option. Stand still screen shots are nice to look at but there is no photo mode currently. Gameplay - If you have ever played any of the SGW games then you are familiar with the concept. You are given 5-6 objectives that must be completed within each of the 5 maps. These maps are open hub and not open world. They are pretty large though. Graphics are nice but there are some frame rate hiccups that always seem to be present. Sounds - Its okay. Voices used same the same as the ones in Sniper Ghost Warrior 3. Kind of like they just copied the sound files over. The shots sound okay. However there is frequest audio clipping that happens. More so in the menu screen but it's there. Long story short, just wait for a deep sale on this one. It's fun at times but the bugs are horrible. ... show more
