I did a lot of reading and reviews before I chose the Snailax Full Body Massage Chair Pad. This was bought for my 86-year-old father that has chronic lower back pain & hip pain. He was very happy with my choice. It is heavy for someone his age to move around. He liked using in his large recliner so he can relax. I believe it is about 16lbs and it says to unplug from the wall outlet so this part he has struggled with until I moved the pad to another small swivel chair & because the pad has a tall firm back it still worked fine w/o needing the chair back taller. I read all instructions before using and it is pretty clear on instructions and for setup. It was well packaged- doubled box which really protected to and didn't have all the Styrofoam or extra stuff to dispose of. There is an auto setting that will run 15 mins for sample, but my dad likes that because it does it all. It says to use only 3x's at 15 mins a day to start & I understand so your back can get used to the massage part. I think for us being tall it is perfect to have the full auto start from the lower back and goes up to the neck & head area. So far just having it for 5 days it is doing a good job. I have used the air massager setting and it just seems to air up and expand and decrease for pressure it feels good but not the pressure I thought. The rollers are really good and not so intense that it hurts. I used 1st time and wondered if I would feel the workout in the middle of my back the next day, but I didn't. I am glad we are tall, or we may have had to add a cushion to raise a smaller person like it states to raise someone with a small body frame raised up to have their head and neck in the right position. It is nice to be able to fold the seat up and set aside if not in use. It was easy enough to lean against something to store in area you want to use all the time. The controller stores in a pocket on the right side of the back- quick to set back up My dad loved how it helped his sore lower back, or if you just want to sit down for 15 minutes or less whenever you want and be relax to a wonderful massage. I feel you will not be disappointed. My review was based only on my fathers & my own personal experience. I may have to order myself one for our house since I got to try out my dad's. Overall very happy with what it performs.

Pros: - Delivery arrived on time. - The delivery arrived very well packaged, safe, and secure. - Virtually no setup was needed. - This product boasts very sturdy construction, and nice, high-quality leather is featured throughout. - The massage capability is very high quality and can deliver a powerful, strong, high-pressure massage, which is very rare for a massage chair insert. I particularly appreciate this because, as a PhD professor, therapist, president, and CEO of a company, I carry a lot of stress in my back and shoulders after long hours of sitting and working. However, one can adjust the level and strength of massage pressure and vibration to fit one's preferences and needs. - This massage chair insert is portable and fits in virtually any sort of chair. It can be easily removed and relocated to nearly any other chair in the home. - The remote control offers many excellent features and options and is also built more strongly than most other remote controls for similar objects. - The wiring and cables throughout the massage chair are also heavy-duty and designed to last. Cons: It is difficult to think of many disadvantages of this product; however: I wish there was an option for it to remain on for longer than 30 minutes or so, yet I also understand this is a safety feature. Regardless, sitting and working for long periods, it would be nice to at least have an option where 30 minutes or so could be extended. (In the spirit of transparency, while I stand by the above claims 100%, and such are entirely accurate and reflect my own personal views, opinions, and perspectives, I was invited to try and test this product by the company, which required that I personally purchase this product and seek reimbursement from them upon completing such a period of testing and review. I purchased the Snailax Full Body Massage Chair Pad -Shiatsu Neck Back Massager with Heat & Compression, Kneading Full Back Massage Seat Portable Chair Massager for Back and Neck, Shoulder because I'm hoping it lasts. I've purchased so many types of back massagers over the last 10 years and usually end up wanting. They are too small or don't hit the right spots. This massager has almost everything you could want and I'm extremely happy with it. I've been using it for a few days, and I use it at various times throughout the day. I have Ankylosing Spondylitis which is a degenerative spine disorder, and it has affected my muscles throughout my entire back. I'm in pain most days with muscle spasms and knots so I need breaks to try to work them out. This chair massager has been very effective in relaxing my muscles and giving me the deep pressure that I need. Many others I've tried do not allow the pressure this baby does. Especially when you use the air seat and air back, it hugs you right in place, so you don't move away from the rollers. Speaking of the rollers, this is one of the things that makes it "almost perfect". They are great, don't get me wrong, however, they could go side to side just a few inches. The structure of the chair keeps you in place, centered on the seat, and the rollers move up and down while rotating but they only reach that center strip on either side of your spine. If you're like me and have multiple muscle issues, you know what I mean. I'm 5'5" &150lbs so I sit pretty well in the seat though I've found that the rollers, when using the full back mode, stop just below my shoulder blades :( I need deep tissue massage around my shoulder blades and can only get that by sliding down and sitting off-center on each side to reach them. This is because with the "neck and shoulder" section, at its lowest spot, it only puts pressure on the top of my shoulders and the base of my neck. I can feel there is another set of shorter nodes next to the protruding neck nodes that rotate with them, unfortunately, they do not reach my shoulders regardless of the positions I've tried. You can see in the photos I've tried to show the lower nodes and in the one with just my finger on top of the shorter node, you can see there is about a 3" difference in height. Photos also show there are 3 pressure levels depending on fabric removal. Full coverage of the full over flap, remove that flap and get 2nd level of pressure, remove the neck fabric (zipped) and a 3rd level of pressure. I'm thrilled with this product overall! It appears to be well made, you get extra warranty coverage with Snailax and my back is very, very, happy!

I have several massagers that target specific areas but this one is awesome for just sitting back, relaxing and enjoying an all over massage. It's really well made and looks good. There's a pad down the back which is removable if you want a deeper shiatsu massage but stops it being painful if your muscles are a little tender (unlike some other shiatsu massagers I've been on) The pad for your head is also removable allowing you to adjust the position of your head and neck relative to the massage heads. The back shiatsu covers the full range of my back from the base to my shoulders (I'm 5'4" ) and the neck massager comes down low enough to get into the knots on top of my shoulders and all the way up my neck The vibration is only in the seat and feels good if you've been working your glutes and backs of your legs. The compression also feels good, not sure what it's doing exactly but it does feel good. The heat is at the low back and feels great when your low back is stiff, which mine usually is. You can use any of the different functions on its own or in any combination Can you tell I love this massager? Ok negatives, because there always is at least one, but in this case definitely not enough to drop a star, just something to be aware of... If you have the compression on high, at some points it alternates from one side to the other, which feels fine except when you have the shiatsu on at the same time, it pushes you a little off center, just enough for the shiatsu massage head to hit your spine, which I found really painful. Simple fix though, keep the compression on low if you want it on at the same time as the shiatsu, or use them separately. The only other "negative" is that the motors, particularly the one that moves the neck massager up and down, are a little bit loud but it doesn't bother me, again, not a deal breaker, you could always just wear earbuds if it bothers you , I sometimes do that anyway with some relaxing music or a guided meditation on. Overall I'm really happy with this massager, it definitely hits the right spots

This thing is AMAZING!! I had a previous Snailax massager and loved it but this one puts that to shame! There’s almost not a spot that it doesn’t touch. The side pads that are inflatable were way cooler than I anticipated and from low back all the way to your neck gets a great massage. It fits nicely in my recliner also and with the seat being attached but not fixed in a seated position, I can even recline and use it. It does have a little weight to it but I expect that with all the features. The remote rubs everything and all functions are independent of each other. Engineers put thought into this. I highly recommend if you’re looking for a well built and functional massager for any tight muscle. The butt vibration is an added bonus after glute day at the gym. This thing is great!!

So I bought this in anticipation of ankle surgery. Why would I need a back massager for ankle surgery you ask? Well, because I'm on my butt pretty much all day every day until I can bear weight. Sitting for long periods of time leaves a person cranky and achy and anything to help you feel better post op is worth its weight in gold. The massage it gives is amazing and so far I really enjoy it. This will definitely make sitting for prolonged lengths of time bearable and even a little enjoyable. Plus it's a backrub that won't get you pregnant.

It has only one task - is to do massage! And this is extactly where it fails very badly. It can't reach muscles between ribs like OSIM does very well. It only pushes very big areas and hits bones all the times. Muscles are not massaged , bones are mostly hit. Rollers don't even approach backbone, they stay too far aside from it. Totally disappointed. Can't use it. And cant' return it, because I no longer have an original cardboard box :( Too primitive construction. Don't waste your money. There much better options on the market.

Bought this based on an Alexa notification on my echo. The price was less than others I had been reviewing and was looking forward to using this product. Pros: Quick delivery Well packaged - box inside box Easy to operate Great materials - solid! Cons: Heat function was not hot enough. No way to increase. Heavy - 21lbs - this is rather substantial compared to what I was looking for. Also for someone with back issues, this might be challenging to unpackage due to size and weight. Neck rollers are in the middle of my head (5’). I thought they wouldn’t be an issue - they are. This is a very well-made back massager. As a smaller person in a small home, this product is more than I was looking for. It would be great for someone who is 5’6” with a permanent chair for it to stay in. With that I will be returning. I am taking one star off for the heat function not working. I will be looking for a simpler form factor.
