This item is perfect. Warming heat in two areas and varying vibrating massage feels so good after a long day. Very relaxing and amazingly all my muscle aches are gone after use. I even use it on the bottoms of my feet and it works perfectly. This is not a shiatsu massager, it vibrates and pulsates. So I was a little skeptical. But I had bought one at Christmas time for family and they raved about it, and after other failed attempts with other products I gave it a try. So glad I did. Very soft pad with a pillow and a strap in the back so you can attach it to a chair. It won't cause problems with my neuropathy, it isn't painful like therapy, it won't cause discomfort if you have osteoarthritis. And while the heating element is not as warm as a heating pad can get, it is warm enough. If I want additional heat in a specific area, I just lay my heating pad on top, and I still feel the relaxing vibrations. Greetings. I deliberately purchased the older model because it had higher reviews even though it said it was lumpy, and it is. The newer model has more memory foam and so forth, so I knew what I was getting into. The massage modules are quite hard on the hip bone if you aren’t paying attention and turn on your side. You have to position yourself in between the modules and you’ll still get a pretty good massage. I like the 3 intensity settings, but it would help if there was one higher, like intensity setting X for extra hard to really get deep tissue massage in the sore muscle. The heat also takes quite awhile to really get going, (my heating pad gets warm in seconds, this may takes minutes), but once it does it’s quite toasty. There are no heat settings, just on or off so you can’t adjust the temperature high or low. The 5 preset modes are pretty ridiculous but fun to play with. I almost never use them and opt for the convenient feature of just clicking on the body parts I want massaged. The massager has a really nice and secure power cord connection and a handy attached remote control storage bag. I Love the material, the fabric used for the bag and the mat. It is comfortable against bare skin. It’s pretty long, although I’m tall at 5’10, I can still get a pretty good body massage, though I do have to curl my legs up a little if I want to get my shoulders and calves at the same time. I like the ease of use for the controller and the mat storage. The attached cord makes it easy to roll up and place at the side of the bed when not in use.     • A really relaxing gift idea.
If you have a half hour to relax when you are exhausted or have some back, hip, shoulder, calve, pain, I recommend this mat. It has many combinations of massage at 3 different strengths each. It's relaxing and the heat feature is really nice. The controls are easy to use; it's highly portable and we've given it as gifts to several people. (This is the wife speaking). I try to use it every night; I will even delay dinner to do so. My husband uses it twice a day or more routinely. The half hour timer stops all the action. One can just chill there for a few minutes longer as the heat subsides. It can be used on the bed or the floor. You can wear clothes or not. I wear my pj's. I noticed you can be lying next to someone using it and enjoy the milder vibrations. Well worth the money I thought. Giftees seem genuinely appreciative. ... show more

As much as I would like to give this a 5 star, I can’t because of the functionality. I bought this for relaxing and to fall asleep as I am in pain during the night he and can hardly sleep. I was looking for something that can relax and provide constant comfort through a nights sleep. Pros: -Light weight and easy to carry from one place to another such as recliner to bed -soft fabric with memory foam Pillow is big enough to not be bulky but can add your own pillow for extra support Cons: Cord for remote is too short. Could use a bungee coiled cable for remote or it should be wireless. No backlit buttons for remote when using at night. Should have put something like Braille for the buttons to feel in the dark. Big con: As the vibrating motor is so relaxing, the automatic 30 min is a pain. Why? Because just when you have fallen asleep, the sudden stop in vibrating can wake you up from sleep. So through out the night I am constantly waking up every 30 min to turn the mat back on as the mat is the only way that I can actually sleep. What started this is I have found that the bed constantly vibrating keeps my pain covered and I can actually relax. I would give this a 5 star if I could buy or reprogram the mat to last all night or at least for a few hrs so I can finally get some sleep. ... show more
