I am reviewing the 32” SMUG Converter Standing Desk. I ordered this standing desk a while ago, and have been using it for several weeks now. The assembly was not complicated, but did require 2 people. Once it was together, I was worried, as it seemed quite difficult to transition from the extended position back down to closed. However, as soon as I put my computer and monitor on it, it moved much more easily. I guess it needed the weight. Now, I’m able to raise it and lower it quickly and easily, and it’s the perfect size for my desk. I have 2 concerns. First: I would like the distance between the keyboard tray and the top of the stand to be adjustable. When the keyboard it at the correct position for my arms, the top of the desk is not quiet high enough, and I’m not in the best position ergonomically for looking at the monitor. My option at this point will be to get a new monitor stand that I can raise when needed. Second: the keyboard tray when I’m sitting keeps the keyboard raised about 1/2 an inch (the thickness of the tray), so I can’t rest my arms on the desk when typing. I’m still playing around with how to fix that. I’d prefer it if the keyboard tray could just slide back and out of the way, and I could put my keyboard directly on my desk. I got this desk converter to for ergonomic reason at my work place. Assembly was easy if you pay attention to the placement of the brackets and follow the directions. Good weight to pick up and place at your desk. Very easy to adjust using the handle on the side. You don’t need to use any physical high amount of strength to lift the desk for adjustment like I have used before. Very smooth transition. Can set it to different heights as well using the handle. Fits 2 of my 24 inch screens, keyboard and mouse. Love the phone slot! ... show more

It is so easy to lift for standing it lifts pretty high. It is a smooth lift as well. The keyboard slot becomes small when you try to use it sitting down. It becomes hard to type on a corded keyboard I haven't tried a wireless keyboard. It shakes a little if you type too hard you just have to adjust how you type. Don't get me wrong... this is a very nice desk. It raises and goes down pretty easy.. but yes, I do have to lift it manually upward when I raise it. I thought it would go up by itself if I only had two light-weight monitors on it, but doesn't seem strong enough. No laptops. Just two light weight monitors. ... show more

I just received mine just a few minutes ago. I'm turning my desk into a walking-standing desk. I WFH. When recieved there are 2 zip ties you have to cut before you can get it to the adjusted height. Please make sure there is a mat or something under it it will scratch up whatever you have it on top of due to the screws on the bottom. When adjusting the height push down on the desk while adjusting it or it will shoot up to it's max height if squeezed too hard which can cause injury if not careful. Besides the screws scratching the desk it's a good product 😀 very happy 10/10 ... show more
