This is a quality umbrella. I wanted a J-hook umbrella for walks in the rain because a short-stemmed umbrella is not very comfortable because you have to hold it up higher, which kinks your elbow. The size of this umbrella is good for my walks because I can lean it against my clavicle without it being too heavy.

Does it's job....keeps most of the rain off. Seems to be a well made umbrella, although 68 year old umbrella my grandfather used is substantially sturdier....nothing is made that well anymore.

Full disclosure, we have not used this in strong winds or heavy rain yet, but so far we LOVE this umbrella! It is smooth and easy to operate, seems t have the right balance between strong and sturdy vs light and practical. It seems well made! And bonus.....the black with polka dots canapoy, silver handle, and length of this umbrella makes it a perfect decor accessory in our entry way contemporary styled umbrella holder! For this money, we thought there was enough value that we have decided to return another umbrella we bought for the solid black version of this.

Love this umbrella! It's very pretty and large too. Small polka dots add a classic look with the silver handle and hardware. Everybody should have a classic stick umbrella and this is a step above plain old black. Automatic opening works good. Do recommend!

Love the design, silver handle and little wrap around buckle cinch the deal! Works great, I looked at a hundred different umbrellas if I looked at one, No buyer's remorse here!
