I really liked how this works for about a day and a half. The app and the internal software in the lock work very smoothly and quickly. What I can't deal with it the fact that the latch bolt assembly jammed up and quit sliding in an out. If it wasn't for me giving my tenant a key to the other door to the house, they would have been locked out. I have tried to play with the plunger latch and it absolutely will not move. I can't even force it with extra pressure to slide. It has just become an inert piece of metal to encumber an otherwise quite useful solution to multi-person access to my property. I might change my review if I a responsible party shipped me a working part that exhibited even a modicum of longevity, because, as I said, I really like(d) this thing. Edited: After contacting the company I had a replacement part in two days. Very impressed with their being conscientious. Still one minor problem that may or may not be an issue: Once I got it installed and put up the new storm door, I discovered that the handle on the Sifely Smart Lock sticks out too far for the storm door and the entry door to close at the same time. I will have to shim out the storm door to get it to work. Others' situations may vary enough for it not to be a problem, but just be forewarned that if you have a storm door, you may have to take it into account. Also if your storm door opens on the same side as the entry door the two doors' handles will bump each other and you will never get both doors to close at the same time. I had to reverse my storm door to get it to work, and THEN ran into the problem that the Smart Lock bumps the storm door glass and won't let it close. These locks have been working great at our house. The number pads work very well even when the screen gets wet. The only issue that comes up is on the finger print side. If your finger is wet or even sort of wet this will not work and also sometimes it will not work if this door handle is in the elements and it gets rained on the finger print will not work then as well. ... show more

After using this product now for a year, I find that the only disappointing thing is the battery life. I access this lock at least once a day sometimes more, but it asks me to replace the batteries every 2 to 3 months.

First and foremost, the numerous ways to unlock this device is incredible! Fingerprint, key, smart card, code, alexa, or app! If you have numerous people living in your home, as i do, it makes it easy for everyone to access in one way or another! Best part is...AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE! This product worked great until I had a slight issue with the latch, I reached out to customer service with Sifely and told them exactly what I needed to fix the problem and they sent it out that day, had problem resolved within 2 days! The media could not be loaded. I am pretty happy with this lock & handle. With off-brands on Amazon, I’m always wary, but this one is pretty legit. You have to have *one more app* because of course we can’t just make the IoT all the same language…but that’s to be expected. Features: Various ways to unlock - keycard/fob, key, fingerprint, numeric code, app (local only unless you pay for the additional Gateway) Lots of settings to play around with if that’s your thing - customizable User settings are pretty detailed - you can make a user “permanent” (like me or my kids), “one-time” (a service provider), “recurring” (cleaners), or timed (my friend watching the cats when I’m out of town), and those options are available for all the different lock types. So I could have my friend watching the cats use the fob and then leave it behind on the last visit, my kids use fingerprints, I use the app, and the cleaners use a passcode, and it’s all pretty easy to set up. What I wish it did: I wish I could set my own passcode (it randomly generates an 8 digit code) Lame that it doesn’t include the gateway, though I get it if they’re trying to keep cost down. For Amazon/Google, you can unlock the door by speaking your passcode (if you can remember it lol). That’s the only function that I could find for those apps. Because they remember your voice, it would be nice to be able to designate whose voice can unlock the door. Installing was super easy; if you’ve ever replaced a door handle for an outside door, it’s exactly the same with a couple of extra pieces. I had to move my deadbolt to the bottom hole, because they were too close to put the handle in the bottom one. It doesn’t look terrible. Programming (fingerprints and fobs) is very easy as well - open the app and “add” then touch the reader. I included some screenshots of the app, bc I’m a nerd who always wants to know what the app looks like before I buy it 😆 Overall, I’m happy with the purchase and would recommend it. ... show more
