  • Solid alexa wifi multizone switch at a great price
Size: 3 Gang (smart light switch)
I used to work for Lutron and helped invent the Casetta and Radio Ra Products. This seems to be a pretty solid switch. It has actual mechanical relay outputs, not thyristors, which can make it more durable. Three zones for only $25 is great. Easy to integrate w/Alexa via Smartlife. Works without neutral, but you may need to install a leakage capacitor (provided) across the load in zone 1. This is easy to do without rewiring your house if you have some basic electrical knowledge. The screw terminals on the back are nice, although a little fussy to get tightened. But fine. The odd feature of this product is that you can control 123 or four zones of light from a single product. But all of those products of the same size, the size of a one gang US wall box. It's not likely that you would have more than two zones of wiring coming into a single gang box in the United States. In my situation I had a three gang box with three switches that I wanted to replace. As others have pointed out this unit is not fit in the standard three gang box, so I custom printed a face plate that will hold it in a three gang box. You could easily do the same for a two or four gang box if you have a 3-D printer.this product is that you can control 123 or four zones of light from a single product. In my situation I had a three gang box with three switches that I wanted to replace. Because others have pointed out this unit does not fit in the standard three gang box, so I custom printed a face plate that will hold it in a three gang box. You could usually do the same for a two or four gang box if you have a 3D printer. The relays are single-pole, meaning they can only provide control from a single location, no three- or four-way switches. One of my zones was a 3-way, but I got around that by using a Yolink Alexa key fob (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B0978V4WQC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and designing a toggle wall switch for it. I took out the switch at the second location of the three-way, and just secured this device to the wall switch there. When it toggles up, it presses button 1 on the Yolink fob, when toggled down it presses button four. Those buttons then trigger Alexa routines to turn on that zone at the main unit. This is in a basement so I don't care what it looks like so much, but if I did I could design this so that it fit inside the existing wallbox (with no wires, it's battery-powered) and look just like a normal switch, but I didn't bother. You have to understand what you're buying and how to wire it w/out a capacitor if necessary, but it seems like a very solid device so far. If your Zone 1 load is an incandescent lamp more than about 40W you probably don't need the capacitor. ... show more

  • Critical instruction update needed
Size: 1 Gang (smart light switch)
Instructions are a poor excuse for translation. When doing a no neutral install, you need the capacitor to connect to the Load wire in the L1 terminal on the switch. The other capacitor lead doesn’t connect to the non-existent neutral, it connects to the screw in Neutral terminal of the switch. Hopefully you didn’t bounce the switch off the wall. ... show more

  • Easy solution for three ligths switch
Size: 3 Gang (smart light switch)
If you need a smart solution to replace a classic switch, this could be the one you're looking for. First of all, you can turn on/off 1, 2 or 3 lights from this device but you can NOT turn them on/off from different switches in the house, office or your place. You can find another products if u need that. This switch will let you manage the lights from this device only or via the app. The connection is very simple. Of course, always turn off the breaker before try anything. In my case I had the neutral wire, the live/hot wire and finally, the load wire for each light. That's all. Once you turn the breaker back on, you will see a flashing blue light ready to be paired by SmartLife app or Alexa. It's a pretty simple process that you can do it if u know how to handle wires and a screw. The cover could be a little tricky to open and it doesn't feel sturdy so handle it with care. It comes with a plastic cover you can peel off. You can see it's still on in my photo and the box content like I recieved it. So far, I would recommend it. ... show more

  • First time installing switches
Size: 1 Gang (smart light switch)
This was the third smart switch I bought after finding out my house dose not have neutral wires. The directions were alright up until the diagram which was confusing and made no sense to a neophyte. The no neutral wire install says to connect to neutral, I think they mean load wire when they say neutral. Installing went well once I figured that out. App was easy and it paired without issue. Only Major gripe and bedroom installers beware. There is a blue wifi symbol light above the button that lights up went connected to wifi. It dose not go off and is visible at night. Not ideal if you're trying to cut out ambient lights at night. ... show more

  • Horrible Directions, Fragile, I feel it is a miracle... but it works great! (so far)
Size: 1 Gang (smart light switch)
Box had no id about what model this is. When you try and add the device on the app you know not which of the hundreds of items to chose. I finally found it 'hidden' in the pdf that is on the product page on Amazon. The included instructions were pretty awful. Yes the face plate is glass and EASY to break. When setting up if you mess anything up you have to start over putting in the password for the wifi. Then if you have to reset it, which I did several times there is no info on how. Turns out you just hold the only button there is (even that was not clear) and after 5 seconds it seemed to reset. The app itself is Horrible. I wanted to do what I would guess 99% of folks out there want to do and have it come on at a certain time (sunset) and go off again at dawn. I FINALLY figured out how to schedule it to turn on and I am waiting to see now if I have to put in yet another schedule to get it to turn off again. Just Stupid. As always, it never ceases to amaze and astonish me that people that are brilliant enough to engineer, design, market and sell such a device are such utter morons when it comes to explaining how to use it (and in designing apps for such). ... show more

  • Easy to install and good app, but too fragile.
Size: 2 Gang (smart light switch)
This switch was easy to install and works great, but face plate is too fragile and there doesn't seem to be available spare parts/replacement for it.
