I finally decided to upgrade to a couple smart speakers (Google) and found this light for my 6 yr old's room. It was simple to install and took maybe 20 mins to take down the old light and ceiling fan and put this up. I downloaded the Smart Life app and got the light added and working within minutes. However!! We haven't turned the switch for it off but I've had to re-add it to the wifi on the app each morning and night. This is so frustrating to have to set it up each time he wants to use it!! UPDATE I cannot get it added to my wifi and even though the pic shows BLUETOOTH connection it can only be connected with WIFI. The app finds it but it keeps saying "failed to add" Since it doesn't come with a remote, this is a waste of money because if I wanted a plain light operated by the light switch I could have spent much less. It's already been installed so I can't return it. I'm very upset.

I have purchased 3 of these types of lights and really am happy as to how they work. The first one I purchased, which is controlled by the smart life app, stays in the light mode that i set for when i schedule the light to come on and off. The last two don't work that way, and the explanation on the operation from the supplier was not very helpful. I just wish that these lights would stay at the setting I set when scheduled to come on and off. These last two I purchased are also controlled by the same app, but for some reason do not work the same way. I would however still recommend the lights, they are bright, colorful and for the most part are very programmable.

The media could not be loaded. It was kinda confusing to figure out the installing. You need to download the app, turn on and off light 3 times and light will blink then connect to app and let it run its course.

Needed something that can be controlled because my kids don't always turn off the lights with theses they are bright enough but can go soft enough to be a light glow. The colors are amazing and the install was easy, set up and used.

I've got every single light in my house as either a wi-fi smart light individually controlled (including the 11 separate ceiling cans in my kitchen) or as in the case of my basement, a smart switch with those big 4 or 5 panel LED bulbs for a garage. I can voice control every aspect of lighting in my entire house. I have a few similar to this, one in the unused third bedroom, one in the laundry room. Both were absolute NIGHTMARES for mounting. Clearly a kindergarten student helped design those. THIS one was perfect. Absolute genius for how to get the light installed. There is a ring that you screw into your ceiling light box. That ring has a live and a neutral set screw on opposite sides to secure the wires (unfortunately no screw for ground though). On those ends are small tabs that are metal. In the inner upper surface of the light fixture are matching tabs, you simply line up L with L and N with N, raise it up into place, and rotate to lock. Those metal tabs then connect to the actual receptacle in the light. It was LITERALLY that easy. They win, hands down, best ever ceiling light I installed. They even excelled with the integration with smart life. I never even had the chance in the Smart Life app to click the plus sign to add a device. I turned this on and off three or four times to get it into pairing mode, and as soon as I opened smart life it showed me a picture of this light and asked if I wanted to add it. Easy peasy lemon squeezy. Since this went in my bedroom closet (the last dumb light in the house) I called it Bedroom 4, and added it to my bedroom group in the Alexa app so I can control all four lights as a single entity. And it worked flawlessly. Alexa picked it up instantly and I was able to control color and brightness as well as on and off. There is only one reason I didn't give 5 stars - I wish the color ring wasn't a SEPARATE light that is JUST AROUND THE UPPER EDGE. So setting this as a color will be more of an indirect ambient color, not direct, since the downward facing light is ONLY white. But the downward facing white has a great brightness level, my walk in closet has never looked so bright. Absolutely LOVE the way they designed this for the install.
